I have stayed at the Eastiny Inn (Hotel) several times. I really can't say anything bad about the hotel. The service, staff and rooms have always been great.  The upper floors are better than the second and third. I like the 7 th (Top Floor), or the 6 th floor because they have been redo and less noise.  The problem with taking girls into the hotel and no joiner fees. Between midnight and 2am the nosie level is high but after two no problems. Pool is on the third floor outside but no view. If you do get a room you don't like just asked the desk to change it and they will without a problem. The Eastiny Inn is the hotel I will always use in the future, you will have a great trip and the beer and Go Go Bars of Soi 8 are only steps away.

I stayed in the Eastiny Inn this month for a few days, I stay there again, it's clean, friendly staff, never a problem take a Lady to your room, nice pool, no need to take a Baht bus the action is right around you.

the positives are good location and great service.  There are two draw backs.  The noise from the Soi 8 bars sometime goes until 7 a.m.  If you need quite to sleep this may be a bit disconcerting.  The restruant and the food served is a bit lame.  You may find their attempts at Western style food wanting.

Rooms are clean, basic but not worn or tattered.  I would stay there again.

I stayed there in May and was very happy with it.  I never noticed any street noise, but I don't think I was ever off to sleep before 2 or 3am anyway.

I liked that the welcome basket had condoms, K-Y and a bottle of whiskey!

Very guest friendly and I even kept getting flirting smiles from the desk ladies despite the parade of BG's I had going to my room.

I didn't try but I was told that I could have bargained them down 100-200 Baht due to the lack of customers this low season.

Has anyone had a problem after using a credit card to pay their bill?  (double charges, etc.)  I have heard of a couple.  Thanks.

Always pay with a credit card no problems ever. They do not take the Amex card,  but Mastercard, Visa, and Discover are all welcome.

I also paid with a C/C and had no problems. If you like to eat a decent breakfast I would suggest you give the hotel a miss and take a short stroll to Rosie O'Gradys on Soi 7. Terrific breakfast. :)

Also, no problems with 'credit cards'.  I will be staying there again on July 20th. What I like, I just send them a email and they confirm my room without any deposit.

You guys are right about the restaurant, but its ok in the morning for having breakfast with your new best friend, before she goes on her way.

I just spent two weeks at the Eastinty Inn and couldn't have been happier.  The location is great, they upgraded me to a Superior room (I paid 700 baht per night because of the length of stay -- I had been quoted 800 baht with upgrade prior to arriving), the staff was efficient and polite, and I was pretty much left wanting for nothing.  The only thing that would make me look elsewhere for accommodations in the future would be them being fully booked or me wanting to try a different part of the city for accommodations.

Did they have a joiner fee for the second lady on a given night?  Yes, but if I'm going to indulge in two ladies, kicking in an extra $7.50US (300 baht) seems more than reasonable, and a small price of admission for the dual pleasures.

I had heard both good and bad things on here and elsewhere before arriving, but the location was enough for me to give it a try.  It's nice when things work out.
