A review of The Greenyard Inn, Boat station 3, Boracay.

Recommended Posts

The Greenyard Inn, located in the area of Station 3 on White Beach on Boracay Island.

The hotel is sat back slightly from the beach, and in a small local residential area, where the locals are very friendly. On 1 night, they invited me to gamble and play cards with them, but as I had no idea what the game actually was, I declined. Even declining, they still supplied me with beer and rum, and wouldn't take a single peso for it. A number of local house shops and eating places in the local vincinity.

The hotel is built over 5 floors I think, and was only renovated 1 year ago. It used to be known as Dive Guru's Annexe last year, but its changed names now, but is still owned and operated by Dive Guru's though.

I booked this hotel through Agoda. Think I must of got a good deal, as I paid £190 for my 7 night stay, and breakfast was included. Choice of a flipper breakkie, American or contintenal style.

Flat screen TV with all the usual English language channels. Wifi is free and seemingly steady, biut for some strange reason the internet speed got quicker on the stroke of midnight. They is a kitchen attached at the back of the room, fully equipped with plates, cups, cutley, pots and pans, and gas for the stove. The room itself is VERY big with plenty of space for moving around in. Bathroom was ok, with a good supply of hot water and with a constant water pressure.

These are the photos of the grounds and my room, which was room 4. Seems that all the rooms are slightly different in layout styles though.

The entrance way to the hotel.............

The veranda area to the room. All rooms seem to have this area, and this is where they will serve your breakfast too..........

Appears to be great value for money considering it's Boracay and close to the beach. Quite spacious and handy to have the kitchen area for a long stay.

Think I'd want a more comfortable sofa and/or a TV in the bedroom area.

Any room safe or hotel security?

Yeah your right. I would of preferred a TV in the bedroom, but its not the end of the world. The "sofa" was actually quite comfortable.

There is a bolted down room safe in the wardrobe, big enough for the usual camera/money/wallet/iPad. There is a security that sits out front by reception all night long. Midnight, 1am, 3am, and even 5.30am, that guy was still awake at these times when I was coming home. He even walked me down to a good restaurant on the beach path at 1am(after I arrived at the hotel on the stroke of midnight) on the night I arrived.

He should have been shot for leaving his post, LOL.

But seriously, it looks a great place.

Would you go there again or try someplace else next time?
