Residence Garden - update pls

I'm booked in to the RG for a few days in early April.  However, I have just read a posting on this board by a guy who stayed there in January and was woken up every morning by noisey building work.  As the world's lightest sleeper, I'm alarmed!!  If anyone knows the current situation regarding the building work, I'd be very grateful if he could provide an update.  Many thanks.

Here is the answer I posted on that discussion (few lines down)

 

I am currently staying at RG. When I exit the room, I see that there is work being done. When in the room, even awake I don't hear anything.

 

The work is on the left side of the building (from the pool facing reception), and my room is on the right. I am sure that has to do with it as well. Anyway, I don't have any problem with it.

 

This report is still valid.

I was on the 6th floor (top floor) on the left. If, I had the AC going (even on low) I hardly heard any noise.

Without the AC on I could hear some hammering.

 

I'm a light sleeper and was a bit worried about all the construction going on around the area.

It never bothered me.

 

The night I left they had the roof on half way on the closest new structure.

I stayed there about two weeks ago and noise was not a problem at all. If you are concerned you might request a room on the right side away from the construction. But I don't think you need to worry about this.
