Terminal 2 - Heathrow

New Terminal 2 opened at Heathrow Airport this morning.

Starting off with flights from United Airlines only then slowly introducing others including all of Star Alliance.

 

Thai Airways and Eva will start flying from Terminal 2 on 2nd July 2014.

Does this mean there will no longer be a Terminal one and three ? Leaving us with Terminal two, four and five once everything is opened and settled. Does anybody know, not seen anything in the news releases.

T1 and T3 will still be in operation and existence long after we have left this earth.

 

Flew out of T3 this morning on Emirates. As we taxied past the new T2 at 08.40, there was not one single plane at any gate at this new terminal. Guess it must be early days so far...........

Management have learned from the the debacle at T5 when it opened. They are gradually introducing airlines so any early problems will not impact too many people.
