Saying green tea will rot your teeth is nonsense. Both black and green are rich in antioxidants. Poor hygiene and too much sugary food will damage your teeth. I brushed and flossed my teeth all of my life and have 6-monthly check-ups with my dentist to scale my teeth and to apply fluoride. I still have all of my own teeth, which is rare for people in my age group. Drinking tea and coffee will stain your teeth in the long run, which does not worry me, as long as I am still able to eat any food I like, no matter how tough t is.

I did not say that, I said that many of the Chinese people I saw had awful rotting teeth.

Tea is well known to stain teeth, I quickly see a difference in my own when back in tea guzzling UK.

I also felt the same in rural Argentina, where they drank their own version of green tea called Mate... (with an accent).

They too had awful rotting teeth........

Both nationalities also smoked heavily so quite young people had poor teeth and from an English perspective that is saying something.

I believe it was more to do with no or little dairy in their diet, hence low calcium levels when younger.

You are fortunate to have all your own teeth for someone who falls down and bangs his head often.
