Any reason why Wales isn't bolded?

For that matter, any reason why the British are once again refusing to send a national team?

Think the op wanted to draw our attention to the clash.......

There was a time when a British team might have been very strong..........Even now it may be......Thinking of Bale here...... But all of us want to protect our individuality. It's more a case of we'll never agree than a refusal.

As it is, woefully poor as Scotland are they are improving and they will play well against England. They hate us even more now Sturgeon is fuelling old grudges and nurturing new ones.

The Scots only play well when their opponents are England!

As it is, I doubt any Scot would willingly play on the same side, nor under the Union flag.

Can't even get along in Parliament!

If the money's right they would.

They would not be popular in Glasgow.

They would not be popular in Glasgow.

Oh yes they would.....as long as they were winning. Think Liverpool ......Man U of old.

In psychology it's called a superordinate goal. Two enemies coming together to defeat a common enemy.

You seem to be talking of club teams whereas I am considering National ones.

Yep I'm using clubs as an example of our past successful collaborations.......Teams of Brits that fought each other nationally but did jolly well against Johnny Foreigner when working together.

It will never happen though....we can't even manage it in the Premiership.......Times have changed.

Yes, a long way since Michael Caine, Stanley Baker, Nigel Green etc were united against a common foe!
