Northwest spring fares U.S. to SE Asia

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Right now NWA fares from the U.S. to SEAsia seem to be running $300-$400 over their competitors.  Anyone know why?  Do they typically have a spring sale?

I have FF miles on NW so I'd rather use them (plus I love being able to cut in line as a preferred customer at Narita), but I'll take a $600 United flight before a $1000 NW.

I'm bringing my family over end of June. I'm paying $1001. r/t from Philly on United. Prices always go up during the summer. They drop by the middle of September. Cheap charley loves pay for two the third one is free.

bk_boiler, United is my personal fav.  The fares have stayed consistant and good for the last few years now...get a United Visa card and really look through their site on the milage plus area, for 10000 ways to earn lots of miles.  I got  15000 recently for purchases I needed anyway, at the usual prices...Peace.

Just booked for 808 on United.

Btw-BigD thanks for cluing me into Enconomy Plus.

When I only had 19,000 miles I convinced th egal on the phione that since I'll have 25,000 when I reach Narita I should be economy plus for travel from thatpoint onward,  They put me in the system as economy plus and then I got the extra leg room seats for all legs of the trip.

Best seats other than emergency exit rows on the NYV-Narita leg are 17B and 17H

I usually try to come NW as well. Last year they had a "miles and cash" deal going and got a ticket from Florida for $600. No such luck sofar this year so I'm paying $820 for Delta/JAL and get into BKK  3+ hours earlier than on NW.
