Just 8 weeks to go!

just killing time before I pick my brother up at the airport and thinking 8 weeks to the day and i'll be leaving for LOS.

It seems just like yesterday I booked my flight...Mar 03 2015

Have to admit after joining this board and learning quite a lot from all of the BM's and reading past posts I feel as though I've already been and back. Haha......

I now realize i've made a newbie mistake all ready...should have taken all my vacation in one shot instead of two two and two....well as the farmers say "There's always next year!!!".

 

good thing about my brother he's spent in total about a year in Thailand however it's been 10 years since he's been and ws shocked at some of the prices I was telling him. He did ask if they've found a way to make you pay for the air you breathe. I said that as soon as the airlines have figured that out Thailand will follow!!!!

Can I suggest that you read between the lines as well as the Headline News.

 

There is no doubt that the top end girls have raised the rates but there is still a massive range of prices and opportunities available. Beer bars still have 300/400 baht bar fines and 1000 baht LT fees. Just a week ago a number of go go bars in LK had a 2 for 1 happy hour and there are 2 for one beer places all over town. Then there is the food. My Thai GF loves to go to out favourite noodle bar where a large bowl with meat will cost you 35 baht with free water included.

 

I can also get a great English breakfast including juice and coffee for 100 baht and it is more than enough to keep me going.

 

Keep reading all about the high prices and take them as the norm or get out and about and see that the place has something for everyone.

Could you give me the name of the noodle bar sounds like an inexpensive lunch/mid day eats.

Funny enough when my brother and I went out for breakfast yesterday he was saying the same thing, there's top end prices and low end and everything in between.
