Sorry...I don't seem to be making any progress here, and Invision seems to have lost interest in this case.

 

Wish I had a suggestion or two, but never worked with board software. Sorry to add to your list of woes, but it doesn't appear the "Notify me when someone quotes my posts" is working either.

Yes, there seems to be a problem with IPB connecting with SMTP when a notify is done.

Just had one go straight through on another thread.

 

And this one went through in about 5 seconds.

We might be out of the woods on this one...it's looking promising since I made a change to the SMTP host and port addresses.

Good news. Never would of thunk it that the posting and email notification issue could be related.

I'm getting the board notifications, but not email. Checked my settings and they look good. Nothing in my email account's spam/junk folder.

 

At least the more important and visible issue of hung posts has been resolved.
