SFO to BKK Flight Price

Recommended Posts

I just got a flight (SFO to BKK) from priceline.com for a grand total of $598.60 (bid was $510).  The airline is JAL

Depart:    6 Jan 04

Return:  29 Jan 04

This is at least $100 less than published prices

Nice price, but not $100 under published http://search.travel.yahoo.com/bin/search/...?dc=BKK&intl=us which is $594 plus tax.

Still probably the best you could have gotten for those dates ad certainly cheap for JAL.  What are the restrictions on tix from Priceline?  I've never bought through them but heard that you can't change and if you miss a flight you are really at their mercy.  True?

I wish I could stay two months!

1) The link you mentioned is $549 + Tax = $649 total

2) The flight dates are restricted

3) The downside to priceline is that the tickets are non-changeable and non-refundable

4) You won't know your itinerary until AFTER purchasing.  I once got a 10-hour layover at Narita.  Most of the time it's okay:  departure=3 hour layover, return=2 hour layover).

5) Tickets are not eligible for Frequent Flyer points, though I have managed to get the points from JAL by asking for them when at the airport or up to 6 months later via phone (retain your flight stub).

6) Two months is too long for me (I get burned out)
