Decided to be a little closer to the action for my most recent trip so booked two short stays in the Page 10 Hotel sandwiched around a weekend in Bangkok. Booked through agoda and spent four nights in a superior and four nights in a deluxe room.Paid around 2300 baht per night including breakfast for two against a rack rate of 4000 baht per night. The hotel is situated at the second Rd end of so 10 but is still less than 5 min walk from the beach. THE Hotel is fairly nondescript from the outside but is quite smart in a boutique style from the inside. Officially a four star it probably just about deserves that classification. Rooms are smart with the main difference being that the deluxe rooms have bigger beds and a slightly bigger balcony. The deluxe rooms do face the front of the hotel so there is a bit of noise from the bars in spite of the extra double glazing. A very diverse international clientele with some couples. The hotel also seemed popular with golfing tours. Staff were efficent rather than super friendly although some of them made a point of remembering my name. Asian and western buffet breakfast with an egg station. The Asian breakfast changed every day and was superior to the western one which hardly changed at all. If you favour a traditional fry up the breakfast here probably isn't for you. A very nice rooftop pool is a big plus. Freewifi throughout the hotel. Guest friendly. I never came back with more than one lady but I saw other guests with two ladies and another with a lady boy. Good value at upto 2500 baht per night but I probably wouldn't pay more than that. There is a proper sauna and massage virtually next door to the hotel and you are just over the road from so honey if you want an improper one!!

A second stay at Page 10 and i feel that i need to qualify my recommendation slightly from last year. The hotel was still very busy even though it was low season but was starting to show definite signs of wear and tear. I had to change rooms after the first night as the wet room wasn't draining properly and the smell from the drains became intolerable. The quality of the buffet breakfast had declined markedly from last year and i certainly wouldn't advise paying extra for it. Shame really as the location really suits me. I paid 2200 baht per night for a front facing room including breakfast. After we left my driver from The Limo Pattaya told me that the bell boy had complained that lots of guests were checking out early which wasn't good for his tips
