Visa For China Air ?

Recommended Posts

I called Gazelle travel & I got a good price from them on China Air , Dublin - Ams - Bkk . I called a few other consolidators & I mentioned to one that I had got a good price with China Air via Amsterdam . He said that they are normally cheap but that is because you need a visa , costing £80 , when travelling with them . Is this true or is this guy talking BS ?

Also Gazelle said that China don't connect from Belfast , only Dublin yet on the Ours Travel website Belfast is listed as 1 of the departure points for China Air . I prefer Belfast to Dublin for departure as the parking is a lot cheaper - I might give Ours Travel a call tomorrow .

I got a great price from Trailfinders with Thai Airways on Tuesday but when I called to book it today the guy discovered that there were rules attached to the fare & the price went up by £100  >;) . To get the cheap deal with Thai you must take the daytime flight back which gets into LHR too late to make the connection to Belfast  ::) . China Air is starting to look like favourite at the minute . That early morning arrival in Bkk is going to be a bit of a pain .

Turbo.

The Visa bit is rubbish, unless your stay is for over 30 days, even then it doesnt cost 80 quid  ;)

The cheap Thai flight is restrictive, thats why its cheap !

For me its cool, as I dont live that far from LHR and can travel midweek.

If you want some fun on your China Airlines flight, when they come with the drinks tray, ask for either a Bloody Mary, or a straight Tomatoe juice with Worcestershire sauce, then sit back and watch the fun.

Last time I tried it we had the whole crew and half the plane in fits of laughter as firstly they couldnt pronounce Worcestershire and secondly they couldnt find any !!

What a giggle

Ho Turbo,

How did you get on with Our Travel??

I have booked 3 (three) tickets with Gazelle (ask for Pat) for Febuary next year, for myself and two friends all leaving on diffrent days and two airports.

There is no such thing as a visa for flying with anyairline. You would only require a visa to enter a Country NOT a plane.

For Thailand it is a visit of over 30 days

The fare price was ex Newcastle econ £469 Upper class £749  ex Heathrow econ £449  Upper class £729.

The travel days from Newcastle are Sunday out & Saturday return.

The early arrival in Bkk, this year I landed early and was in Pataya at 10.30.

Be Nice

if a country requires a visa you have to have one or

the airline will not let you board.most countries give

you a visa on entry.but not all so you must get a visa

india for example .or the UK try to take a tg to the uk

without a visa see if she can check in.the airlines are

resposibale and pay a fine.no probleme with thailand

if your stay is for 30 days or less.if its for 60 days they

might decide you need a visa seems odd though ,

80 pound seems  a lot unless its for a mutiple entry

or a travel agents rip off
