Air Fares From SFO

Pulled up flight Info for Sept. - SFO to Bkk. The prices are starting to go up slightly. The only exception was PAL.  The fare is reasonable for the time of month.

I'm leaving from Philly, 6 Oct for $765 on United. Flying alot further for not much more money. Airfares are CRAZY. I tried booking a few days ago and the best price I could get was $1800 waited two days and the price dropped to $765. Same date, same routing. CRAZY.

Something that you may or may not know about expendia, when you run a search they do not always give you the best price. If you go back after the search and research for airlines by name the rate drops many times.

... also check or cross check with the airline website...  you may find that the airline is running a special...  [smiley=deal.gif]

 

... nothing worse than after purchasing your fare, you find a "significantly" lower fare...[smiley=banghead.gif]

I have found that many times with Expedia that running the search over again another way can get you a lower price.  The same is also true of airline sites and Travelocity.  Also picking the flights individually on multiple leg travel and keeping to the same airline and if that is not possible keeping to the same alliance will get a lower price.
