I stayed three nights at this hotel right off Sukumvit earlier this month, and although it is a bit dated, the stay was not at all unpleasant.

The staff are very cordial, the rooms are reasonably clean, and the location is superb. There are no joiner fees, and I had the tg running in and out of there pretty good and nothing was ever said about it.

They wil not permit a tilac to come up to the room without your permission, so I had to go to the lobby and bring them up-no problem.

One small problem was that the shower grouting was not very water tight, and a wet spot developed outside of the bathroom near the room door, but that caused me no grief as it wasn't my house. ha

The mini-bar is reasonably well stocked. I would stay there again. I think I paid 1200 or thereabouts for their standard room. Rgds, Jimmy

Hi Jim,

Thanks for report on the G Inn, I will be staying there on Sat 3 July. I booked for one night as I have not stopped there before. I will most likely stay another couple of days.

In Dec. I booked over the internet for one night the charge was 950B's.

I too have stayed at The Grand Inn and it's worthy of a repeat. It's a smaller boutique-type hotel right next to a tailor shop. Don't blink, or you'll miss it.

The only downside, it's just like Majestic suites...no place for a taxi, loading or unloading of luggage. MOVE FAST!

Room was ok and air con was fine. Guest friendly for sure....

Cheers,

Mark

I always get on & off at the "7" on the corner of Suk & Soi 4 when I stay there. Avoids that annoying honking sound and the moto wrapped around your door when you open it!

Anything similar near the Grand Inn? I might wanna play cheap charlie for a day or two in Bangers before I head for Pattaya?

I'm a Grand Inn fan too. I always paid 990 plus a surcharge for a grand total of 1030 for their standard rooms. These rooms are very quiet and there is a terrace but it's only good for a smoke, not a place to hang out.

I like staying there on the last night of my trip cause I tip the bellman to knock on my door if I'm not down at a certain time to catch my flight. But the desk is efficent and I never missed a wake up call.
