Transportation from PTY to U-Tapao Airport

Hi all,

 

Any recommendations what's the best and most easy way to get transportation from Central-Pattaya area (Soi 9 - 13) to U-Tapao Airport ?? As I want to take a flight from there to Koh Samui.

 

How much do I have to pay and what's most reliable way to get to U-Tapao ??

Taxis are between 500 and 1000, I paid for a Merc Limo from Montien hotel, 900, but it was worth it, no messing around. you should be able to get normal taxi for 500.

I've never been there but from looking at a map it appears less than 1/4 the distance from Pattaya to the Bangkok airport. There are numerous taxi outlets that advertise anywhere from 750 to 800 baht to take you from your hotel in Pattaya to the Bangkok airport. I would check with these guys to see what they charge.

Got a Baht Bus in Jan 2004 for 500 Baht. I did the same flight as your doing.

But, on the return trip to Pattaya from Koh Samui, I took a taxi for 800 Baht. There was a Bangkok Airways Bus for 150 Baht, but the TG was having stomach problems {that time of the month} and to get her back to the hotel , I did the taxi
