...any ideas how to squeeze this under 650 EUR, taxes included?

I found something from the KLM and Swiss, but no seats are available. :crying

Checked travelocity.com, travelocity.de, ltur.com,...

Have little to no illusions on the availability ex Zagreb, Budapest or Ljubljana.

Any input is welcome.

Afraid you might have to check www.priceline.co.uk, or one of those snazzy Brit travel agencies that always get mentioned around here to get it down to 650 EUR for those dates... (I am assuming you meant July, and not June?). The best I found was kind of a cockamamie mess for around 1000 EUR, taking you from Ljubljana to Stansted on Easyjet, then requiring a transit on the tube over to Heathrow to pick up GulfAir through Abu Dhabi taking you into BKK.

Just know that the Easyjet portion is going to run you about 160 EUR inclusive from Ljubljana to Stansted (1 flight daily). Alternatively, for the same time range, you can fly out of Vienna on Emirates, through Dubai for 870 EUR (+ taxes), which I found on www.expedia.co.uk.

Like I said all these Brits around here know a lot more about the flying scene from London if you want to go that route, but that is what I could find...

Yep, I meant July, amended that now. :P

Thanx, I am still searching myself, there is something by Qatar ex Vienna at 580 EUR + taxes, sent an e-mail to Austrians to check on the availability...

Hi BP,

Travelled by Austrian airlines from Man last year. This was the worst trip i ever had. Will not fly with them again.

Cheers Doug.

2.5 days to go "traveling by Emirates this year £460 from Man."

hi - u can check out Malaysian Airlines - they have offers from VIE from about 580 Euro - Austrian Airlines usually is around 700 Euro.

doolish - what was your problem with Austrian, I travel with Austrian for all my visits home (I live in Bangkok) and never had reason to complain, in fact there are always amongst the top 3 in any halfway competent Travellers Magazine in terms of service, in flight entertainment and esoecially food. and the new 777 they use for the VIE-BKK service are rather comfortable even in Economy Class
