I stayed at various studios in View Talay 1 (A and B Complex) within the last year.

In case you stay one month or longer, you usually get a good price.

It is on the main Baht Bus Line to Jomtien, 10 BT and no problem during Daytime, same price, but a little more wait time (and you probably have to change Busses at the SOPA-2nd Road crossing.)

I like Jomtien area a lot, less Bars and so, but hey, it is 5 Minutes drive to Walking Street.

Feel free to ask any more questions!

I would choose the new Viewtalay 2 buildings. They are more comfortable as they are newer and closer to the beach. Be aware, that building B. is a short walk from the main gate. Building A is right at the gate, but in february there were heavy constructions with their noise and dirt. Then was impossible to live there, but I don't know how developed the situation still now. I like very much the building, the best choice for me. Nice pool, a good restaurant ( for thai snacks ) laundry, foodmart.

Wiggly

Never stayed in Viewtalay 1 but Viewtalay 2 is good. My comments are the same as the other guys.

Jomtien suites me, I like the area, the Beach and there are a few local bars all within walking distance. When I want a night out I jump a Baht Bus for Pattaya which takes about 10 minutes.

Have a great holiday.
