I just got a quote from the Lek of 1000 baht front wing, and 700 back wing. 300 baht difference seems quite a lot.

Anybody recently stayed there, who can give any input on the differences between the rooms, and also any other info.??

I like the sound of the Lek because it has an in room safe, but was also quoted 700 for the Flipper Lodger and 800 for the Eastiny. I need to make a decision and book something.

Only info I got about Lek was that it was a small hotel (Cheers rtb!).

The front 'wing' was being remodeled last year so i guess it should be in good shape, i have stayed in the old wing over looking the pool , rooms OK for the money and the pool is pretty good. Never a problem with guests (you get a call as they enter & leave, which IMO is good!)

One thing there is alot of construction on soi 13 at the moment but the Lek is at the 2nd road end so you shouldn't hear it!

haven't stayed at the lek, but have the breakfeast buffet they every moring.

nice pool also.

don't know but i'ld think the rooms facing soi13 might be cheaper because of the construction noise from the condo going in next to the dynesty.

jnr,

When are you staying in Pattaya? The reason I ask is because I have been confirmed a price of 850 baht for the new wing(back wing) in September. I think it was 700 baht for the old wing during the same time frame.

guys, thanks for the info. I emailed them, and asked for the same rate and they agreed. So 850 for the new/back wing. That is great with compared to the published rate of 1200.

jnr,

Cool! I am glad you got the better rate. That is why I love this board. It is good place for sharing information.

Please let me know how the Lek is when you visit. It will be my first time there in September.

hi jnr

I stayed in a superior room at the flipper and it is the same size as the standard room at the lek and the large or superior room at the lek is down mostly to the view.I stayed at the lek most of july in a standard room with no view and didnt miss it one bit as i was either sleeping or otherwise engaged I think the Lek is the best placed hotel right in the middle of the action on soi 13

jack

ps the bed in the superior room at the flipper is a little larger
