EVA ED, I don't believe you have access to the Lounges BUT Join the airmiles program with them............ I joined about 2 years ago Now have a gold card which gets me into EVA lounges all over the place, also first in line for upgrades etc. Will be on biz on the new 777 in a few weeks LHR - BKK........ should be good! H

I hate to use AIS (because of its links with Toxin) but they have the best network. International calls using 008,009 are cheap and 95% of the time the quailty is very good. Orange is a poor 3rd to AIS #1 & Dtac #2 H

Most AC outlets in Thailand accept flat or round pin plugs .....volatge is 220V. You can buy an adapter for around 50 THB in most of the computer shops or places like Tesco lotus / Big C H

EVA gotta love 'em Last trip London - BKK, upgraded from ED to Biz.........then at the gate, Sir your ticket has changed....First Class oh happy days! On the return Bkk - London only upgraded to Biz................. oh and i'm hoping for the same in 5 days time! H PS Hope they keep the LON - BKK route, its the best value of its class by a long way

Luxury Visa Service are OK.........office on 3rd road towards pattaya tai, or go into the 'Lobby' bar on soi Buakaow (near soi Diana) 2300/400 can't remember...................smoking or non smoking buses, 6 to a bus, DVD's on bus with headphones. Breakfast @ the lobby inc & packed lunch Guides are good But your day will start @ 6am and end depending on traffic and ques 3-6pm H

Good hotel & a fair price.............Girl friendly and 20B motobike taxi to most of the action! H

Of course its Guest Friendly.............BUT it's one of the worst condo blocks in PTY, don't book it untill you have had a look ...plenty of better places (READ safer) Lots of washed up farangs in the block and some not too nice Thai's . View Talay or one of the mant place's on SOI Bukhow........ but the best advice i can give is book a hotel for a couple of days and look around for some where that suits your needs and budget! H

Big bills only applies to US$ not euro's or £ or any other currency ATM cards are good if your english get a Nationwide account as their are NO FEE's for cash withdrawls abroad!! H

The front 'wing' was being remodeled last year so i guess it should be in good shape, i have stayed in the old wing over looking the pool , rooms OK for the money and the pool is pretty good. Never a problem with guests (you get a call as they enter & leave, which IMO is good!) One thing there is alot of construction on soi 13 at the moment but the Lek is at the 2nd road end so you shouldn't hear it! H

Stable lodge on soi 8 is OK for about 1000 ish a night, guests no problem. M suites is still the best bet, or Rolands ringpiece could be a good place its just next to the bus stop! H

Sorry but Nana & Dynasty are crap.................there are 'cleaner' ST hotels which charge less in BKK. Stick with the majestic suites. If you want the smell of a thousand punters and BG's in your room with thread bear carpets and the decore of a 80's soap opera then maybe the Nana & Dynasty are for you!!! H

Majestic Suites is the best bet!! Nana is a dive H

As above Mr Wong for Watches Shop round the back of Pattaya com (second road near mikes department store, go into shop/internet cafe ask for dvd and they will show you to the back) for DVD's though Pantip is better and cheaper H

Spend a day walking around and checking place's out.......soi bukao & soi diana have loads of new places that will be almost empty at this time of year. Got a great (brand new) apartment about 38sqM with ac TV (sophon) near excite disco (soi excite) for 6k per month + water electric (about 1500baht with AC on a hell of alot) Laundry downstairs motorbike taxis 20/30 baht anywhere in town. maid was offered at 75 baht a clean (TG did it for me!) Walk and look and the most important HAGGLE!!! H

There are 3 different quotes on the EVA ticket, the £637 comes with miles, and easy change dates, the other 2 prices have more restrictions & no miles!

OK so i can get hold this ticket for a trip out to LOS in september for £637 inc tax and outward & return legs can be changed for £25 (suits me as i am 'freelance' and may need to change dates!) This is from Airline Networks............ Anybody know of any better deals? H
