How did you first discover Thailand?
aussiechic replied to captcraig2's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
By eating Thai food if it was that good from a takeway place here in Australia how good would the real thing be. We started talking about doing a trip and a guy that BB worked with said if go you have to go to Pattaya. I did a internet search and a website said Pattaya is the sleazy underbelly of the sex trade of Thailand, will we had to check that out, as they say the rest is history. -
In Sept 2009 bought a DVD player a Big C that came with surround sound speakers for 1100 baht. Left it with a friend. In March we bought one from the the Big C for 870 baht and left this at the Cherry Bar as some one had tipped water on theirs. Sept this year bought one from the Big C for 900 baht and we brought this one home with us. Make sure you ask for one that plays copies which are in the cheaper range. I always by the cheaper one as it is only to watch DVDs while we are there, but the sale assistants will try very hard to get you to buy a dearer one. The one I have here

This was not a cheap night out by Thai standards and we didn't care. 4 crabs 4 fish 12 prawns 8 rock lobsters 2 squid and 2 kg of Vegetables with 2 pots of rice. With drinks the bill divide by 9 came to 1100 baht each We had 1 fish 1 crab and a 1 kg of vegetables left over. One day walking down Soi Bukow we did stop at at seafood place and the meals we had were around about 80 baht each never made it back but will different return next trip. If you come out at the top of Soi Honey and head left towards centra

Special Guest Band jamming tonight!
aussiechic replied to davethailand's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
We found a really good band playing in a beer bar after midnight in soi 2. Good range of rock and roll and clear singing not drowned out by their instruments. Phillopino band and they have also a girl singer never got to see her. Also saw a Thai band playing on second road next to Tiffeny's car park listen to them from across the road very good rock and roll. -

Some of my photo's from the night We gave Ron a confetti canon took awhile for him to get it going. I hope he doesn't look like that when he goes of. What is MM thinking? "Where is Yogi's stupid hat" -
As you don't live in Thailand say Hi to your mum for me.

If you live in Thailand then hold a Thai bottle of Meakong in front of a Thai person and ask them to spell it. Tried it 5 times in the last 3 weeks while there and the people of Thailand will tell you that the Factory is closed. Went to Bang Chang at the begin of our holiday Maekong in every bar went back 10 days later gone. If you like it and find a bottle buy it.
-
The "Meakong" factory has differently shut down most places have run out. We have been buying bottles from out of the way places and stocking our favorite bars.

I looked at the recover thing in the beginning but it was turned of so by turning it on it start from there, so there was no recovery. As I don't need sound I am just going to keep trying things, One thing I did was update my Blue tooth so I have sound now for blue tooth devices but when I unplug this it goes back to nothing. When I return in a couple of weeks I will take it to the shop their petty good probably only cost the mim $50 bucks.

Music at the Pattaya Beer Garden
aussiechic replied to PattayaPete's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
I think the volume level is just right when out dining if you want to listen to music sit at the bar. I all so enjoy the variety of the music we often play guess the name or artists of this song. Will be in for a few meals and drinks over the next couple of weeks. -
I have downloaded many recommend drivers and chip thingies the Diver Detective helped download these and picked up the PCI thing wasn't working which now is. Sound and device Properties: Volume- No Audio Device and in Audio it says no play back device. I have check all the plugs and checked the speakers. This all happened after I remove a program I was testing BlazeDTV it said it shared programs with windows which I obviously deleted. I have since reinstalled it but still no sound.

I try deleting the sound devices still nothing. will try looking at the other thing tomorrow. Thankyou

I did have a yellow exclamation on PCI but I have been able to fix that. Speaker system: No drivers are installed for this device. Sound, video and game controllers: All listed EG: Audio Codescs have this message This device is working properly.

I spent the last two days trying to fix my sound. I have used windows update, CD divers that came with the computer and driver detective. All though I have managed to update a lot of stuff on my computer I still can't get it to recognise my sound card. A man and his wife were working in their garden one day and the man looks over at his wife and says: 'Your butt is getting really big, I mean reeeally big. I bet your butt is bigger than the barbecue.' With that he proceeded to get a measuring tape and measure the grill and then went over to where his wife was working and measured his wife's bottom. 'Yes, I was right; your butt is two inches wider than the barbecue!!!' The woman chose to ignore her husband. Later that night in bed, the husband is feeling a little frisky. He makes some advances towards his wife who completely brus
