Doesn't that mean no left turn..... ever! I read the Pattaya sign as it was meant, perhaps due to my time in the USA where right-on-red is common. The UK you can never turn left on red, they have filter lanes if you can, with a Give Way or it's own dedicated traffic light. Pattaya traffic lights are way behind the times. The scheduling can often seem idiotic.

It means wait for the light if you are turning left. It is also a red arrow. I think the meaning is clear to English speakers if not perfect They are dotted around off the main Pattaya Roads. Left off Klang (heading towards the beach) onto ArunoTai is a sneaky one. Doesn't matter if you aren't on a bike...the baht buses rarely leave the left lane clear.

Thanks for posting that. The dreaded in-the-middle of a row of 5 ..... did that once, Frankfurt to BKK and it changed me forever! It likely will go ahead, passengers look for price. Imagine, 630 passengers..........

Me too...... Standing out from the crowd is what makes a business. Likely there is more to this that we are hearing. The 'Barbie bar' could have dropped prices or offered specials.

To my bigoted shame, when I first started reading this thread, I thought a couple of Hi-So Thai offspring had been hot-rodding down Jomtiem beach Rd. If you look up the Spanish translation of Pajero, (South American), it seems apt!

There are signs saying you shouldn't do it. But people sure get pissed when you make them wait behind you. The police seem to have latched onto this lately as a good earner. The place would be safer though if they caught those who accelerate through red lights.

So these baht buses that go from Buakhao to Jomtiem...... On the way back, do they proceed down 2nd to Klang, turn right and then right again onto Buakhao, thus creating their circle? I personally haven't been on many that turn right at the Tops junction. I used to get some on Beach Rd that were going to Jomtiem though...... Bloody things need numbers and posted routes!

I dunno... The type will always exist and perhaps having them all penned up together rather than mixed in with the other punters has it's benefits. Easy to avoid the place, and easy to figure out who it was aimed at.

I don't agree. If he doesn't want critique, advertise in the local paper. Anyone who takes advantage of this forum as a free platform for marketing must be prepared to answer questions, comments and criticism. Yes Mick is doing a favour for a good friend, but it is possible he doesn't know the full details of the business. Recommending a business to others is sticking your neck out.
