  1. Dark Blue....
  2. Double post....
  3. Do you perhaps mean khao phat (whatever)....?But seriously, there is so much more to Thai food than 'fried rice'....
  4. That's me made up for the week...........
  5. The spiciest thing I ever ate was Som Tam at the Issahn festival at the #8 school. Even the TGF said it was too spicy. Normally seafood salad (Yam Talay) is the spiciest food I like to eat. Overly spicy food is a waste as it spoils the enjoyment and flavour of the other components..... it's a bit like the drunk in Abduls Curry House after a Friday night out, proving how tough he is asking the staff to 'make the chicken Vindaloo spicy' they will take the piss. He will likely eat it, suffer doing so, suffer in the taxi all the way home, and most certainly on the can a few hours later. I keep trying to get the TGF to cut back on the chilly (and I would say I can eat pretty spicy), but she keeps sneaking it back up. Ah well, keeps me regular.....
  6. Oh okay, I am wary of mentioning rings while Villa is lurking, but let's have a few easy ones..... The Lord of The Rings (The Two Towers)
  7. I am afraid so, I can only avoid it using the rare Aeon machines.
  8. Well for some reason Bangkok Bank did require one of me (same branch) years ago, but the residence letter was easy, they just wanted to see my rental contract.... and copies of course. You did get a rental agreement didn't you?
  9. Did you get the extras removed 'no ploblem' though?
  10. Some recently arrived friends used RJ, but were rather negative about the whole experience. This time they used Thai and were similarly disposed.
  11. Mine was a little box, 6x6x6 inch, but to be honest that was silly as the contents could have fit into a gift card envelope. But when you need something, you need it now, and are prepared to pay 5x it's cost to get it shipped... Well useful info, I am more familiar with DHL, where their site tracks end-to-end. During the airport closure I tracked a package all over the place as it weaved it's way to me not via Soyouwantaboomboom!
  12. It arrived this afternoon....No problems...
  13. Wasn't this a film that became true..........A Sting in the Tale
  14. Ain't that a fact, I think Mick brought his mates from the pub and a few groupies to work in the film.
  15. Cmon guys, 24 hours since I posted Ned Kelly......
  16. Joe, when I wrote that post I was thinking of you and the idea that one never needs to pay for this software...
  17. No, if you read the thread you may understand, I make personal trips to the UK, as I want to.
  18. Windows Media Player doesn't give you enough options. I would be tempted to ask the OP if the drive/ software recognises the blank disc first. I thought most computers came with something basic in order to get you to fork out for the full veersion. My current notebook has Roxio, and my last one had NTI, and I got a free copy of Nero off someone.
  19. Theoretically, if you have your drunk farang friend stay over at your house rather than drive home, you are supposed to report the fact on a TM30... If you do not, fines are applicable.... If you have relatives staying, same applies. This is further to the requirement to state address on the arrivals card. It applies to the residence owner.
  20. The flights go over Northern India, Burmah (Mouths of the Irrawaddy, Cox's Bazaar and Tavoy), there is a good chance you will cross Thailand to get to KL, or stay west to avoid paying for the privilege. You might get a better idea if you looked at a globe rather than a map. In fact, if you flew from Germany on Lufthansa, the Frankfurt flight to KL flight stops off in Bangkok for an hour, en-route!
  21. Joe, I have a non-Imm o with retirement extension valid until December, that is as real as I can think of, and I got already.Just pondering if I would do it again.
  22. I have one on the way, USPS International Letter. 26th July... The internet tracking system is useless. All it tells me is received at the Bronx, NY that date and no further information.
  23. You have made me reconsider..... perhaps the retirement visa will be continued. Although about visiting Tammy... well I heard rumour a few guys had to visit a medic after!
  24. Good feedback Joe, it would be nice to do it on the internet rather than traipsing down Threpasit/Thrappaya here in fun town. I am not sure how the mail option works, my passport won't be going into an envelope and that mailbox surrounded by haphazardly parked motorcycles on Soi Post Office! I do hope I remain desireable....
  25. Well I also have a piece of paper in my passport that has another date on it.The exit-re-entry permit stamp has 3 dates on it...... Valid until... (when my retirement extension is valid to) Issue Date... self explanatory Date Used.... when I re-entered the kingdom. Even the Entry Stamp has the hand written date equivalent to when my retirement extension expires. NOWHERE does it state when I should do my next 90 day reporting other than on the previous paper, which does not apply as I left the Kingdom in the interim. I think you do not know what you are talking about and I was seeking information from informed people. Your advice, to refer to the date on my re-entry permit, or entry stamp, would get me fined.
