I suppose 'mileage may vary'.. and I am glad to hear that they did well for you. They did a presentation at 'The Expats Club' when they first came to town..... I prefer not to detail 'my friend's experiences'.... but I have taken them to heart, so in that respect I will do things differently. A neighbour was robbed blind by his lawyer (not MSL!) over work permit needs, and discovered he had contributed to the guys new Merc.. The guy refused to return his passport until he handed over many thousands of baht, the police were not interested When he went elsewhere and tried to sue, they 'closed ranks'.... who you know came into play. Lawyers have a poor reputation worldwide, as many a divorced man will tell you, but I would trust them less here than in my homeland. As such, I will take heed of recommendations on this board, from long standing posters who, despite having crossed keyboards with, have exhibited integrity and experience. I am afraid I do not know you, did you fly under any previous handles here?

There are people hawking law services in Thailand who do not have the qualifications.And if someone itterates bad experiences to me, it is to say I will go elsewhere! I would do it different or with a different outfit. This is a nonsensical statement...... If you have a problem or are cheated by a lawyer here, who do you go to? Try it.......

Again using a well recommended lawyer is good advice ..... Worst sharks in Thailand are, assuredly, not falangs making business here...... I feel your advice is suspect... may I ask your experience to be making these sweeping statements....?

In Thailand, getting yourself a lawyer is not all it is cracked up to be. Learning from the mistakes of others, in forums, does have benefits... Wanna hear some Thai lawyer stories......
