DO not use the internet to find the answer. If a day (24 hours) goes by without an answer, then it's fair game to use the internet to find an answer

I have seen commentary by our friend Benjamin Hart at Integrity Legal that overlaps some of this, he is more optimistic. His recent comments is that banks are causing many issues, having requirements that have not been stipulated by immigration. The latest in the rumour mill, as an example, a particular bank stipulating that for an affidavit letter (per retirement extension requirements) it requires the 800k to have been on deposit for 4 months. Immigration do not require this. The above commentary about vloggers promoting Thailand is also an issue, I sometimes feel like saying Gabor style 'Shhh, you will spoil it for everyone' (me included). It is a nearly global issue/problem this immigration, I mean if the UK still attracts so many, a country I see now as a basket case, Thailand is definitely rosier.

I also found KLIA to be a bit of a zoo, a lot of delayed flights, long queues, and planes being moved from one gate to another. It looked like a major transit hub and Indians filled the place. That said, my last trip, via SQ, the airport was a bit chaotic too.

I have used Malaysian Airlines quite a few times on trips to and from Bali, in Biz Class, always finding a price well below the competition (ignoring Air Asia for a few reasons). The hop from Bangkok was never really worth it, but the leg KL to DPS, was usually a more modern plane and I could get a couple of beers.

Pictures from around Pattaya

I can't male my mind up about that 'Space' building. Is it futuristic and attractive, or an eyesore? Investment has certainly come to town since post Covid. -
Warning about fake TDAC websites from Thai police

And the Indonesian online customs declaration too! -
Finally, direct flight from Los Angeles to Bangkok
jacko replied to 4wheels's topic in Airline Discussion
I certainly would like to fly the A380, rather than the 777, more likely you mean the carriers don't want to fly them. -
Try their Biz Class! That is the last Air India flight I did and it was OK. I think I was the only guy up front and was well treated. I got an impression there was a fine scotch that needed to be finished off. Beyond that, and not wishing to pass aspersions, I wouldn't dream of using them!😀

Used them early March, booked via email no issues.

Warbies bread in there now, but check out the chest freezers near the check out tills, for frozen crumpets and steak and kidney pies!

TDAC - Thailand Digital Arrival Card commences 1 May
jacko replied to Bazle's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Yes, will they check you have the QR Code when you check in, and reject you if you don't? Will they use the 3 days to really check you out, more than the old TM6 cursory look the IO used to give. -
TDAC - Thailand Digital Arrival Card commences 1 May
jacko replied to Bazle's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I guess this is the correct site..... https://tdac.immigration.go.th/arrival-card/#/home There might well be some fake ones popping up in a Google search.... I got one when I was trying to do the Indonesian Customs advance declaration. Filled in a load of information and then they were asking for $60, when it should have been free. -
Earthquake in Myanmar - affects in Thailand
jacko replied to keyman's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Nothing felt in Pattaya by myself. Bringing down The Waterfront might have been beneficial. I see the building in Bangkok fell vertically, pretty much into it's own footprint.... I hope that fact does not get the 9-11 conspiracy theorists going! Airports were closed in Thailand....as was BTS etc. Relatives of my Mrs all on motorcycles to get home, and minibuses. Heaven knows what the situation is in Myanmar..... I will be putting the news on shortly. -
Definate downturn in prices out of London to Bangkok return
jacko replied to Rawhide2's topic in Airline Discussion
Talking of flights out of London... bit of a mess at Heathrow yesterday! -
I will not be making my own but thanks..... no oven! No sign of them in the far corner past the bread.......where I found them before...... had a look in the long row of freezers too, usually can't see in them because of condensation. I enjoyed the last batch, as a lunchtime snack with cream cheese (Philly) on them.
