Same Same ,I want to think in 2008 I will move to LOS.i will be 55 My other option is to stay in uk and work till I am 60 and get big payout then My house paid for in 2008 .no money worries now ,have a job which pays well no politcal issues ,im in safe enviroment ,BUT IM SO BORED So i think i will change my safe bored life for unsafer excitment . Do we live to work or work to live thats the Question I want to live again ,so i think i will follow my senses and look for my excitment in my life before it is to late. Its a gamble as life is all the time .but with edging a few bets ,it can reduce the odds im sure . For me I will have money ok till I get some works pension at 60 I may even take temp contract work if I think I need few more bahts till im 60. looked at job market looks like many vacancies around Asia for my skills in the oil gas industries I am a planning ,project engineer I think I will not buy but rent in LOS but buy in Prague ,as I know this city very well and know if I had to come back to Europe due to issues in LOS ,I would be so happy living there compare to UK ,as lot cheaper to live there than UK and more fun for single man can be found . Well I have 3 more visits to LOS this year which I will know what I will do in 2008 or I know at moment is im pissed off with my life in UK and Its up to me what can I do to change this I think we should always have a plan B At the end of the day I have worked 40 years caring for my family when we was one unit Now single for last 3 years .my son 29 is ok with his life my daughter 21 married and happy now .Now I have been a good family man ,its now time I should be selfish and find fun and excitment in my life whilst I can

Well if price comes down can see me having many more trips Instead of 3 a year may fit in 5 LONDON: Virgin Atlantic is in talks with a Malaysian budget airline over a potential global no-frills alliance that could offer cheap flights between the UK and Asia. AirAsia, Malaysia’s leading low-cost airline, is keen to join forces with Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin to form a joint venture that would fly between Kuala Lumpur and London and Manchester, Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates and Amritsar in India. If a partnership goes ahead, it could mean the price of long-haul flights to Asia being slashed, with tickets starting from as little as £40. Industry sources suggested that Virgin could take a minority interest in any such alliance, similar to that with Virgin Nigeria Airways. A Virgin Atlantic spokesman said: “We are alert to the many opportunities for delivering even better customer service and value, and we talk to lots of people in the industry all the time. Evidently, there has been a growth in low-cost carriers in Asia following the success of the low-cost model in Europe.” AirAsia’s chief executive, Tony Fernandes, who is a former managing director of Warner music in Malaysia, has said there was huge potential for a budget long-haul air service. The country’s national carrier, Malaysia Airlines, operates 18 times weekly to London, and charges around £700 for economy class and £2,600 for business class. After cashing in his AOL Time Warner stock options, Fernandes bought AirAsia, which was on the brink of collapse, in 2001, for the token sum of one ringgit (14p), and assumed its £9mn debt. In just a year he had engineered a turnaround, launching new routes with fares from as little as 14p, massively undercutting Malaysia Airlines. The company’s aircraft grew from two to 50. It operates flights throughout South-east Asia and China. In June, AirAsia posted profits of £18mn, and it expects passenger volume to hit 18mn this year. A joint venture with Virgin would also offer flights to Hangzhou, near Shanghai, and Tianjin, near Beijing from as little as £14, according to a report in the Malaysian Star newspaper. Budget airlines have experienced rapid growth in recent years as customers eschew package holidays for independent travel. A number of business class only carriers have also launched, offering cheaper flights than established airlines, including Silverjet, which is set to fly from Luton to Newark in the US from the end of this month. Landing costs at Heathrow would be too expensive for a low-cost carrier, but the venture could operate out of Gatwick, which has become a hub for budget airlines. It could also use Luton, where Virgin already operates a rail link between the airport and central London. Virgin carries around five million passengers a year, and flies to 27 destinations worldwide, including the United States, Hong Kong, South Africa and Australia. – The Independent

WOULD BE GREAT NEWS , Branson plan may hit Qantas January 3, 2007 Sir Richard Branson: new flight plan. According to reports, Sir Richard is in discussions with easyJet founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and AirAsia boss Tony Fernandes. They are believed to be looking at forming a large low-cost carrier connecting Britain with Malaysia, India and China. It is unclear whether Virgin Blue would be part of the deal. The three men are significant participants in the low-cost revolution that has provided growth within an international airline industry that has faced high fuel costs, epidemics and

This sounds like your UK state pension. US equivalents do similar things. Your pension size depends on how much you paid in over the years. If you stop paying in due to early retirement, your pension won't be as big. I am surprised just 5 yrs out of a lifetime makes a 30% difference. The UK guys can step up and clarify. UK pension specifics are outside of my knowledge array. This is my works pension ,I have taken no account of my UK pensions as I did not know if I could have UK pension if I live in Thialand. Thinking about it I may get a little more money from the state as i Have been paying into this for 38 years So I may have more money to be paid for Me when I am 65 , I did not take this into account as any more money would be a bonus Can anybody tell me more .
-
My future looking very good reading this thread I am 55 in 18 months and my house will be paid for ,want to retire then . I would have about £150000 ( 300000 USD) with the sale of my house . Could invest 50% of this to make some more capital, maybe in property in East Europe Then when I get 60 years I would have my pension about £13000 year( 25000 USD ) I am taking a 30% cut in pension I would get a far better pension if I carry on working till 60 So when I was 60 I would have approx 75000 bahts month and still have £75000 (150000 USD) plus gains I hope over the 5 year investment i will make at todays rate thats over 5 million bahts being invested. Think if I do not make the move ,I will be a very sad man growing old in UK, What is the point of working till sixty for a far better pensions when I am not happy living in the UK now, As the saying go lets live for today as we a long time dead Will start making my moving plans in about 1 year ,but in the mean time fit 3/4 trips this coming new year I would rather have 15/20 years good life and if im skint at 75 who cares as my life would have ended or is coming to a end
