how you doing guys , i own the rockhouse on soi l.k. metro , which has been mentioned by another poster earlier in the thread. our apartments are the biggest of any that have been mentioned so far in the thread , and i can back that up by saying ive been in the other ones mentioned. i cant knock the metropole hotel for anything except the price , its very nice. keerati too which is owned by the metropole hotel is very nice , but pricey in high season , though they are doing a great offer now for low season. j&p apartments and opey de place are pretty basic by the standard set by the ones mentioned above. the rockhouse facilities include , king size beds , full air conditioning , ceiling fans , large screen tv. dvd player, mini bar , refridgerator, tea and coffee making facilities , in room safes , free wifi internet , seperate lounge area , massive barhrooms , hot and cold water , electric shower , balcony, and no extra charge for water or electric usage. we do not however have baths in our bathrooms or a swimming pool and although we do not have a functional kitchen we do provide room service from local restaurants . the menus for these restaurants can be found in the apartments . more information can be got in the hotel and accomodation section of this forum or at www.the-rockhouse.com.

ok mate . storms personal mobile number is 0871 432101 , if your calling from outside thailand it is 0066 871 432101 . the hotel has 15 rooms for rent is situated over 4 floors and if on the top floor , its a hell of a climb. the rooms are quite good , not the best in the area at the price but good enough . i dont know what his rate will be at xmas time but i think hes around 900 b a night at the moment with discounts for longer stays. storm is actively trying to sell the place , so it may have new owners by the time december comes. hope that helps.

read the thread in the business section about the rockhouse. i think its called a guided tour of the rockhouse or welcome to the rockhouse. the area is indeed new , has many new bars and restaurants , the bars include the famous lolitas blow job bar, the new hell club , and 3 gogo bars , champagne , memories and oasis. you are also central to soi diana and soi buakhou which have hundreds more bars to choose from between them and your centrally located to get to anywhere in pattaya.

2000 us dollars equates roughly to 1000 british pounds. when i left scotland 5 years ago 1000 pounds per month would barely have paid the mortgage on a average house. add on electric , gas , petrol , car payments , food bills a , telephone bills , sky tv, internet , etc etc etc and its 2000 pounds before you can think of going out for a beer at all . so if its costing on average 70,000 baht per month to live here , rent included , transport included , internet , tv , food , drink , sex and everything else then i reckon your getting a good deal. very few of us live in a place as enjoyable and exciting as pattaya , so just waking up here every day is a bonus.

hi guys, a big thank you to all who turned out for what turned into a very good night last night , many well known faces and a few new ones too , which is always good. hardly an empty seat in the bar for the whole evening fom around 7.30 pm until perhaps 1am. i only wish every free beer nights were as good and as well attended. i ll be repeating the free beer nights later on in the year , but for now i will be giving it a rest as i have other commitments in the next month or two. look out for other special offers at the rockhouse though , and i hope to see you all again.

Hi guys, this wednesday 16th of may 2007 , will be the last free draught wednesday at the rockhouse for some time. so i will be extending it from 7pm until 11pm or until the draught heineken runs out. at the same time every other drink in the bar will be at happy hour prices and i will give a free bar fine to any customer with a bin of 1200 baht or above (only if girl leaves bar after 11pm). so come on down , sit in a nice comfortable air conditioned bar and listen to some great music in some great company. i hope to see many of you there.
