Implants here in NY are 2500 and up...(and up are the key words...) The bridgework is a possibility. Seems like a good deal to me. Thanks all for the info once again!
-
How about bridge work? (3 crowns to fill a missing tooth) Any experiences and cost? I know these are much cheaper in LOS. Thanks Costa Rica is a no go... I can not get away there...no excuse, if you know what I mean. Thailand or US for me.
-
Not cheaper where I live, but not worth the extra effort of getting them done in LOS either. I am considering a bridge instead, as the cost of implants here is just too high in this economy... Thanks for the info!

Hi All, I know there are some old posts around (2005), but has anyone had dental implants done recently in BKK or Pattaya? I am curious as to the cost for the procedure. Thanks

It would be great if one of you could upload it and post it here. I have been waiting to see it for years...

What is the most effective fighting technique?
sensei replied to jackcorbett's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I believe that many martial artists that DO NOT fight regularly place TOO much emphasis on kicking techniques. Hands are always fast and can be lethal, as any proficient boxer can demonstrate. However, it IS better to have a full arsenal of tools and attacking methods at your disposal when the time is right for their usage. Most martial arts styles train their students to be much more than just a fighter. They teach the discipline to endure the mental challenge of combat and the willpower to persevere despite injury or overwhelming odds. Most styles are not overly concerned with weight cl -

Need help ASAP...non guest friendly...
sensei replied to sensei's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Settled them in down in Jomtien Beach...Thanks anyway. -
I need some recommendations for a nice hotel that is not filled with people like you and me...lol. It is for a few middle class college girls from BKK to come down to Patts for a few days. They want to spend about 700 a night, but more or less will be ok I think...The main criteria is that it would be a place you could recommend to your mom or sister...clean and stalker free...Thanks so much guys, I owe you one...peace.

Back trouble and Thai massages
sensei replied to jackcorbett's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
I will add my usual comment posted to the various back pain threads on this board... If you want a good chiropractor in Pattaya, Dr. Pack is your man. However, if you want to be forever free of pain and realize that your back is not injured, (even though you believe and have all the proof in the world from many doctors that it is), PM me and I will share all the info I have. I suffered for 18 YEARS with both chronic and acute back pain and herniations, degenerations, ad nauseum...I am a walking encyclopedia of back pain remedies...and I am cured 100%...'nuff said. peace. -
Best of Luck to you Jack, and enjoy living the dream of many of us...thanks for sharing the video.

Stayed for a long weekend 3 days... Nice beach but not as nice as Ao Prao on the west side of the island for swimming. Lots of potentially hazardous sharp objects in the sand underwater, but a nice swim, if you do not want to put your feet down too much !!! Beautiful cottage with romantic outdoor shower. NO TV, so it is truly QUIET there...Very Very little hot water, with minimal water pressure in shower. Very good restaurant and excellent drinks. Wonderful pool overlooking the Ocean with its own swim up bar. EXTREMELY friendly and accommodating staff, with good English skills. No mosqu

Stayed for a 3 day weekend and really enjoyed it. Free boat trip from Ban Phe pier and return included, as was buffet breakfast for 2. The resort is part of Ao Prao resort, and owned by the same people. Excellent beach for swimming and water sports, and a nice pool with infinity edge overlooking the beach. Not enough chairs on the beach for guests, however...The restaurant is mediocre at best, but the one at Ao Prao resort (1 minute walk) is much better. The room had a nice view and was romantic with 2 showers (inside and outdoor). There were lots of mosquitos in the room when we arrived

Stayed 2 times on this trip, for 2 days and 7 days respectively. Great location with easy walk to BTS and Subway at Asok, and between Soi Cowboy and Nana plaza for fun. Daniel is an easygoing guy who runs the place and the rooms are REALLY clean and well appointed. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and I would highly recommend this establishment at 1700 baht a night. Did not induge in any p4p here, but it is obvious that the place is girl friendly from the other guests. Excellent value for the baht...

I agree, it was the best economy flight I have ever taken. The seats are roomy and the leg room is terrific. The plane was a little more quiet as well...

Your reviews of the Grottino-BKK and LEK-PTY
sensei replied to x4p3gsu's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I am staying at the grottino for the first time in mid march till early april...I will post the details after I get home...hope it is soon enough your you. Peace. -
Ok, I need to deceide on where to stay...I am thinking The Grottino hotel or The President Solitaire... I have my girlfriend staying with me, I want a nice place at a reasonable rate, I do not care about the food just the quality of the room...Does not have to be close to P4P areas, but on the skytrain line would be great... Any suggestions or comments? Thanks and see you all in a month... Sensei

AMEN to that!!! Can't wait...

Buss from airport in Bangkok.. to Pattaya?
sensei replied to AL151's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I cant tell you anything about the rooms at the airport, but I say skip the bus...After that long haul from Canada, treat yourself to a taxi or limo to Pattaya. It is cheap (taxi 1200 baht limo 1800 baht) and by far the best way. Peace. -
Everyone is right...my trip would have been $1450. but it was a freebie...God Bless FF miles. Thai is the first airline scheduled to fly nonstop to BKK from the east coast, starting next fall sometime. When Thai starts, I will definitely consider more frequent trips to the kingdom, even if it means some with a shorter duration. No stop over, no changing planes, no problem...Peace.

I tried the new non stop Singapore Air Newark to Changi flight. 18.5 hours leaving late night, and getting in early AM 2 days later. Great service and a nice new plane. (Airbus 340-500). Executive economy was great with lots of room, comfy seats and excellent service. The 3 hour layover at Changi was a pleasure with excellent facilities and even FREE internet service that actually worked. The connection to BKK was typical and short (2 hours). The Singapore gals were adorable and set the mood for a great trip. The return trip had less amenities available for some reason, but was still be
