Not cheaper where I live, but not worth the extra effort of getting them done in LOS either. I am considering a bridge instead, as the cost of implants here is just too high in this economy... Thanks for the info!

I need some recommendations for a nice hotel that is not filled with people like you and me...lol. It is for a few middle class college girls from BKK to come down to Patts for a few days. Stayed for a long weekend 3 days... Nice beach but not as nice as Ao Prao on the west side of the island for swimming. Lots of potentially hazardous sharp objects in the sand underwater, but a nice swim, if you do not want to put your feet down too much !!! Beautiful cottage with romantic outdoor shower. NO TV, so it is truly QUIET there...Very Very little hot water, with minimal water pressure in shower. Very good restaurant and excellent drinks. Wonderful pool overlooking the Ocean with its own swim up bar. EXTREMELY friendly and accommodating staff, with good English skills. No mosqu

Stayed for a 3 day weekend and really enjoyed it. Free boat trip from Ban Phe pier and return included, as was buffet breakfast for 2. The resort is part of Ao Prao resort, and owned by the same people. Excellent beach for swimming and water sports, and a nice pool with infinity edge overlooking the beach. Not enough chairs on the beach for guests, however...The restaurant is mediocre at best, but the one at Ao Prao resort (1 minute walk) is much better. The room had a nice view and was romantic with 2 showers (inside and outdoor). There were lots of mosquitos in the room when we arrived

Stayed 2 times on this trip, for 2 days and 7 days respectively. Great location with easy walk to BTS and Subway at Asok, and between Soi Cowboy and Nana plaza for fun. Daniel is an easygoing guy who runs the place and the rooms are REALLY clean and well appointed. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and I would highly recommend this establishment at 1700 baht a night. Did not induge in any p4p here, but it is obvious that the place is girl friendly from the other guests. Excellent value for the baht...

Ok, I need to deceide on where to stay...I am thinking The Grottino hotel or The President Solitaire... I have my girlfriend staying with me, I want a nice place at a reasonable rate, I do not care about the food just the quality of the room...Does not have to be close to P4P areas, but on the skytrain line would be great... I cant tell you anything about the rooms at the airport, but I say skip the bus...After that long haul from Canada, treat yourself to a taxi or limo to Pattaya. It is cheap (taxi 1200 baht limo 1800 baht) and by far the best way. Peace.

Everyone is right...my trip would have been $1450. but it was a freebie...God Bless FF miles. Thai is the first airline scheduled to fly nonstop to BKK from the east coast, starting next fall sometime. When Thai starts, I will definitely consider more frequent trips to the kingdom, even if it means some with a shorter duration. No stop over, no changing planes, no problem...Peace.

I tried the new non stop Singapore Air Newark to Changi flight. 18.5 hours leaving late night, and getting in early AM 2 days later. Great service and a nice new plane. (Airbus 340-500). Executive economy was great with lots of room, comfy seats and excellent service. The 3 hour layover at Changi was a pleasure with excellent facilities and even FREE internet service that actually worked. The connection to BKK was typical and short (2 hours). The Singapore gals were adorable and set the mood for a great trip. The return trip had less amenities available for some reason, but was still be
