  1. I had a flight booked from LHR-BKK with Netflights for dep 12th May and return 10th June. About a week before flying out, had a call from a nice lady at Nightflights. She said sorry, but Eva have cancelled your return flight on the 10th June. She seemed surprised and quite happy when i said no problem, i'll fly back on the 11th June. Extra day in LOS, and just kept me on the 30 day visa excempt limit. On the flight out with Eva on the 12th May, everyone in the rear part of economy had 3 seats to themselves and we all made a nice little bed to sleep the flight away. Luckily i was in the fort
  2. Just got back from a months stay at the Sabi Inn. The new buiding next door seems to be almost complete. They seem to just be finishing off the lower front of the building, final cosmetic touches. They do have a sign near the top of the building, which says SOI 2 INN. Can't find anything on the internet about it as yet.
  3. I always check the Eva Air website the night before flying back to London to make sure there's been no alteration to the flight. Got caught a couple of years ago when arriving at BKK airport for the flight home to find the flight had been cancelled. They very kindly put us up at the posh hotel next to the airport. A week before the flight they did send a voice mesage saying the flight had been cancelled but couldn't listen to my voice messages, just got a recorded message in Thai. Listened to it at Heathrow bus station waiting for the bus home Doh !!!. Thinking about if afterwards, it was v

Price does it for me. Was looking on their website comparing prices a few months back for economy flights. Thought they had a competitive price. Then realized the price was just one way, double it for a return trip. Errr no thanks. About £250 more than Eva Air. I'm only 10/15 minutes from Heathrow so it's very convenient for me.
  5. I'm also flying out next month on Eva's refurbished 747's so would also be interested how they compare to the 777 they used to use.
  6. I was in Pattaya in April. I was on the Baht bus with my thai gf and on the bus was 2 farangs with their thai gf's. They got off first and one of the farangs went to pay the driver. He came back to the other 3 and said the driver wants 40 baht anyone got an extra 10 baht. So i says to my gf why does the driver want 40 baht surely it should only be 30 baht. 2 tens + 2 fives. She says when thai girl with farang they charge 10 baht for thai girl. Come to think of it that's why she always hands over 20 baht to driver wherever we go. Looks like i've been conned on this one, she does seem keen to
  7. I have stayed in both. Much prefered the Sabi Resort.
  8. Hi Cityparamount. Would be interested in a taxi share on the 12th April. Email me at operator_400@yahoo.com and see what we can arrange.
  9. I just managed to get a direct Eva Air flight, Heathrow to BKK on Travelbag for £470 all in. Leave 11th April back 9th May. Still same price as of today 14/03/2007.
