thai airways international/domestic transfer BKK
s77656769 replied to s77656769's topic in Airline Discussion
Thanks for the thoughts guys. I was aware of the fast track services, but not planning on using one but i might make inquiries. Wheelchair is an interesting idea, but not my style. -
I am arriving at BKK, then have a TG domestic flight to catch. Interval is 95 minutes, which is short, however I don't have checked baggage to collect. TG flight was purchased online so I can't print boarding pass, have to present documents, ie credit card, passport, receipt. From reading the TG site, it seems I should be able to get thru customs/imigration and then make my way to the gate lounge and check in there. Any tricks for getting thru customs/immigration faster? Is there a transfer zone/desk I can transit through? Does this mean I can avoid going back thru securit

IIRC: 2000 THB min balance, no monthly fee 100 THB/year fee for card, however I haven't seen this charged to me I usually login to internet banking at once every month or two. -
Last year I enabled unlimited GPRS/EDGE (data) on my 12call SIM in my phone. 700THB/month. A bit slow because it is GPRS/EDGE, but the flexibility was good, and reception fairly good and in most places while traveling around Thailand. As for WiFi, take the netbook for a walk around, some of the bars have either a PC or a WiFi nework you can use if you are having a drink.

While I agree socks and sandals doesn't look great, if the choice is cold vs socks, I tend to go the socks when I've had to make the choice.

Last year I opened a KSB account getting a KSB ATM card. IIRC ongoing fees were 100THB/year if I maintain balance of 2000THB. I then got internet banking enabled so I could monitor online and a virtual visa card setup for use for online purchases. I had some AUD travellers cheques, and it would cost me 150THB to change 1000AUD approx 30000THB, however I noticed that when I withdrew money from my AUS ATM card, that it also cost 150THB, however the ATM card was charged in AUD, so my bank, NAB, didn't get the opportunity to rip me off on the FOREX rate and then also rip me off with a for -

Last time I looked, Pattaya didn't have a 6th floor, so I guess you are talking about a building so it would be nice to know which one? -
For Australians. VISA Waiver Fee for 2010

Last year they wanted me to provide flight itinerary with the application, so I just included email from booking agent and it was no problem. -
A couple of weeks ago SYD BKK SYD was AUD$1090. Today AUD$920. While TG may have reduced prices by 25%, the taxes haven't reduced. So the reduction only looks like 15% or so on the total price. Still, better than nothing, maybe now is the time to book.

I was looking for something like that myself a little while ago BKK-REP-MNL. BKK-REP was expensive. I looked at AirAsia for BKK-PNH, then bus to REP as apparently there is a good road for PNH-REP, about 4 hours maybe? Do REP for however long, then bus back to PNH. Then it was either one of: AirAsia PNH-BKK and Cebu Pacific BKK-MNL or Bus PNH-SGN, then SGN-MNL. Didn't investigate this one much, think it was expensive for SGN-MNL. Ended up deciding to do REP another time, however will be using BKK-MNL on Cebu. See airasia.com amadeus.net cebupacificair.com. Make su

Going to Khon Kean and Chiang Mia in June

Seems like a few options for Raming Lodge latestays.com agodo.com asiarooms.com hotelscombined.com although which room class is provided for the price is occasionally confusing. Room class vs twin/double bed is also unclear. Since I'm also looking at a stay in CNX, I'm interested in the responses. bestmate, is the hotel GF? Even if I book a double? I'm looking for something GF, Queen/King bed, In-Room digital safe, LAN/WIFI, central-ish tho it looks like CNX isn't too big so I suppose 10 minutes from night market covers a bit. 100THB would be good, tho 1000 is probably -

Seems to me that you could try accessing thru a secure proxy server outside thailand. Not sure where to find one, however I think there are paid services, so google. If you are tunnelling the normal URL thru a https connection to the proxy, then the content of the traffic should be secure, however they will know you are accessing the proxy if they look. They may also see DNS traffic looking up the IP address of the gambling site, not sure though as this may happen at the proxy end of the connection. There will also be evidence on your computer. While I think it can be done so that there i
