I'm going out on a limb here, but I bet the first 787 deliveries won't occur until 2012. -

One of my coworkers who was an inspector, that bumped down to a janitor asked the jerk. "When are you going to get some work so I can go back to work as an inspector?" His response was "Be happy you have a job." This was back in 2003 or 2004. She was laid off in June, and now has retired, because she got her 85 points in before being laid off. Fucking Albaugh is an idiot that should have stayed at the Plutonium plant he worked at. If they want results they should fire McNerny, and hire back Alan Mulally. At least Alan knew commercial airplanes, for he did it all his adult life. -

They are so concerned with short term profits, (instead of long term growth) that they literally kill their company. Yes I agree, that is what is happening now. A trickle down economy. -

Wasn't that restaurant (Vientiane Restaurant) on walking street a few years ago just south of the FLB? I took a couple of my dates there in 2005, and 2006.

Mitsubishi hasn't made a decent aircraft since this. But even then after the P-51, P-38, F6F, and F4U, we were knocking them outta the air like flies. -

Hot News here you won't find on the Boeing Web Site. Only 40% of Sea Launch was Executing Flawlessly. . . Sea Launch seeks reorganization under Chapter 11 On Monday, June 22, Sea Launch filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Boeing is a 40 percent partner in the Sea Launch international venture. Boeing and the other Sea Launch partners support Sea Launch's effort to explore restructuring alternatives through an orderly bankruptcy court process. Sea Launch intends to maintain normal business operations after the filing for reorganization. Boeing employees at Sea Launch Home Port in Long Beach and those at Boeing Commercial Space Company in Seattle will continue normal operations for Sea Launch for the time being. The reorganization process will determine if employee redeployments (meaning layoffs) are required. Formed in 1995, Long Beach-based Sea Launch Company provides a direct route to geostationary orbit for commercial communications satellites through its launch site on the equator and also offers a land-based service from the Baikonur Space Center in Kazakhstan. Read the news release on Sea Launch's Chapter 11 http://bnn.ids.web.boeing.com/index.cfm?co...d=71282&bu= Sea Launch Files Chapter 11 to Address Financial Challenges LONG BEACH, Calif., June 22, 2009 - Sea Launch Company L.L.C. and Sea Launch Limited Partnership and subsidiaries ("Sea Launch" or "Company"), a leading provider of launch services to the commercial satellite industry, has filed voluntary petitions to reorganize under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware in Wilmington. The members of Sea Launch have unanimously determined that Chapter 11 reorganization is in the best interests of the Company, its customers, shareholders, employees and other related parties. Sea Launch intends to continue to maintain all normal business operations after the filing for reorganization. Subject to court approval, Sea Launch will initially use its cash balance to meet operational requirements during the reorganization process and is addressing Debtor in Possession financing, if necessary. "We want to assure our customers, employees, suppliers and partners that Sea Launch intends to continue to operate after the filing," said Kjell Karlsen, president and general manager of Sea Launch. "Chapter 11 reorganization provides an opportunity for us to continue operations and focus on building our future plans. We are grateful for the continued support of our customers and partners while we focus on reorganizing for the future." In the court filing, Sea Launch listed assets of between $100 million and $500 million against liabilities of between $500 million and $1 billion. Sea Launch's restructuring counsel is Alston & Bird, LLP -

Of course they did. I agree 100% Plus the idiots that sit on the redeployment selection process boards. Boeing should also take ANYTHING from the Gartner Group as joke. They are the firm that recommends outsourcing key functions within private organizations. I've been saying this since 1997 Since McD became part of Boeing. Boeing needs to divest ALL it's McD aquisitions, or fire every single McD manager / executive. Ok I guess you'll book your next trip on a slow boat to China. You won't see this ex-employee of Boeing of over 22 years give them any loyalty. Just my former manager who stuck up for my coworkers and I, when we got the axe. I don't even talk to the other morons who were our coworkers. BTW I heard our lead who had a job created for her got the axe back in March. Probably because she abused her sick leave. -

And I thought I'd be the one posting this. More bad news for the "Tarmac Queen" and BigDs stock portfolio. Guess I'm gonna have to vote against the bored[sic] of directors again next year, with the piddley 9 shares of stock they gave me. They were worth about $70 a share last year when I received them. -

Golly Gee... I wonder why? Maybe the airlines are having reservations about Boeing's new flying machine ever taking to the wild blue yonder. -

Same here, especially flying over the Pacific. Which reminds me that EVA has pretty much relagted their 747 fleet now to cargo duty in place of the 777-300ER. -

Wonder if an investigation of today's crash of a Turkish airlines 737-800, will yield that as a contributing factor? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090225/ap_on_...nds_plane_crash -

Goes to show you the McD plan would never work. I heard that my old job which was outsourced will now be insourced back into Boeing. But I'm not moving to Washington state to go to work, if they even offered. I like working for the government better. -

Marine Seafood is a good cheap place. I'd rather dine there instead of Kings. But when I take a date, I go to Nang Nual on Walking Street, right before Covent Gardens.
