  1. I've seen places where the pricing is Sangsom 130 Red label 140 Black label 150 It makes no sense when you consider the cost price of the drinks. In a beer bar once I asked for Johnnie Walker. They said Red or Black? I asked the price difference. They said same same price. Again it makes no sense.
  2. " my 1000 baht / ST victims " That made me laugh.
  3. I was in Super Girl a few months back. A Thai guy brought in a group of about 20 Koreans, men and women. They were all given a bottle of Leo. They were given 3 baskets of ping pong balls between them. None of them were given a bin. They stayed about 20 minutes. The Thai guy led them out. I don't remember if he had a flag or not. I don't know how much they paid for their visit. This thread has gone off topic a little.
  4. I would say 90% of Thais do it this way. I don't think they are trying to make it taste stronger, they just have their own way of doing things.
  5. Silly string was highly flammable, don't know if they have changed it. I would not be surprised if the foam is flammable.
  6. I wonder if they do it at the one on Soi 4 Pratnamak as well.
  7. Oh, same as before, doctors certificate, residency certificate, passport photo page & visa page copy. Copies of front and back of his current thai licenses. He should be good to go. 1 to 3 hours at the transport centre.
  8. I did my renewal last month. Color blind test, and depth perception. The reaction test pedal was broken so that one was skipped. That was it. Pay money, take photo then renewed temporary 1 year licenses issued.
  9. If he is on a visa exemption stamp or 60 day visa he will only be able to get another 1 year license.
  10. If you rode the whole length of that street during the day you would see an instance like this guaranteed. Very little chance it would be a falang. To say we have taught Thais bad driving/parking habits is just absurd.
  11. I believe he learnt this from the Thais. If someone does something like this back home there would be horns going and abuse being yelled at minimum.
  12. And the parked truck was a Falang?
  13. Farangs teaching Thais bad parking habits. You are dreaming buddy.
  14. Do not parking. Thais park anywhere and everywhere, it doesn't matter how much they slow traffic and cause others inconvenience. I've seen many of them park on Soi Bukauw, mosey up to the ATM into 7/11 completely stopping all traffic in one direction.
  15. 7000฿ 2 draft beers and a cheese sandwich, you would have got heaps of takers.
  16. So is the plan to keep 2nd road as 2 way? If so, another lane would be good heading towards Pattaya. I think that section of Jomtien 2nd road will be full of business, condos and hotels in 10 years time. Land owners along 2nd rd will be very happy with this change.
  17. Might add value to all those condos on 2nd rd now the baht buses will be going past.
  18. You would think they would repair 2nd road near the market first. Dangerous pot holes, it floods badly there when we get downpours.
  19. On Addicts paulyd2k said yes I had a prob with mine, if you realise that when engine turns off the lights are still on so if battery aint in top condition, when stuck in traffic for ages it takes it`s toll on the battery, most traffic lights are adjusted for fri, sat, sunday in pattaya so waiting ages some times, for green light, I know it`s a nice gimmick mind, quick off the mark at a touch of the throttle, lol steamer said Did some googling and it does seem to be an issue. Wouldn't want to have a dead battery esp since there is no kick start. I don't think Honda would see it as a recall issue. They are probably happy to sell a few extra batteries.
  20. I think the relationship is now a little strained.
  21. Was it this forum that had the discussion about the combi brakes a couple of years ago? For me, not being able to use your rear brake independently is dangerous. Locking up your front wheel in the wet say, is almost certainly going to cause damage to you and the bike.
  22. I think the latest model Clicks have it too if you want that feature on a smaller bike.
  23. Check if you could when you pull up and put the kick stand down does the lights shut off as well? On mine when you jump on you can turn the key, the lights come on and the fuel pump runs. You can't start it though until that kick stand is up. I've done it once, left the keys in. The lights stay on and I flattened my battery. Another problem is these fuel injected bikes use battery power for the fuel pump, so with a flat battery the kick starter is also useless. I let it sit for half an hour, with the ignition off. The battery recovered enough to run the fuel pump and I was able to kick start it. That was about 2 years ago. Bike is 3 years old now and it's still the original battery. I'm sure it must be due to die soon. I'll probably upgrade the bike soon, they are so cheap so it's not a lot of money to have the reliability of a newish bike.
  24. There is the extra wear and tear on the starter motor as well. I would think most mechanically minded people would not use the feature. Small fuel savings versus reliability. You guys that have your own bike will probably upgrade before problems occur. Rental bikes are a different ball game. When you pull up to park and it idle stops, there is also the chance you will leave the keys in it, ignition on. I'm sure the rental guys have been called out many a time for flat batteries. I would disable the feature if I had rental bikes.
