Pattaya Man Maybe you should refer yourself to the topic heading. Allow me to remind you; It's a request for the cheapest flexible ticket with a minimum three month duration. I've already posted on what are the cheapest and best options. Personally, I wouldn't fly on Thai anyway, at least until their product is brought up to scratch. I'd certainly prefer to have two trips on EVA Elite Class for the price of one Thai trip. Oops, forgot to answer your question. That's yes and yes.

Cheaper to buy EVA Elite for less than £700.

First of all, you cannot buy an 'open dated' return ticket in the UK. Secondly; Change return date (after departure) : Economy class: 75 GBP Evergreen Deluxe: Free

I've flown one way with them. No complaints, certainly at the price. Good stopover times. -

That's not bad at all, especially for an early Jan return. Three hours stopovers are not bad at all. I'm having to do an overnight(with hotel included), as Etihad changed the schedule and ebookers didn't tell me in a timely fashion(cost them £50). So, my Dec/Jan flight cost me £353 return. -
I thought BA had the only flat bed in Club/Business Class, other than Virgin Upper Class. Now if you had the Emirates Business Class service with the BA Flat Bed..... I like the limousine service, superior food and cabin service of Emirates. Alas, no First Class all the way from Bkk to London, so plumped for BA. Still remember the warm service and excellent food received whilst travelling in Emirates Business Class. BA tends to be minimalist. Be interesting to see it they ratchet the service up a few notches in First.

I imagine that it's the take off and landing that the scariest. Best advice; Don't think about it. The fear is created by your mind, so stop thinking about it. Either lay back and relax or do something to distract yourself from the thoughts. Generally I fall asleep just as the aeroplane is taking off. That's relaxed.

If it's not available via; http://www.atninter.com/ it isn't available.

Your assumptions are mainly incorrect. Direct flights are with BA/Qantas/Thai/EVA. Discounted tickets bought in the UK usually have restrictions on them, namely non changeable or changeable at a price. The likelyhood is the cheaper the price, the more restrictions. Forget about BA standby, it won't be cheaper. So your choice is to buy a more expensive direct flight and have more flight options to get home or a cheaper flight with connections with a lesser chance of changing to the flight that you need to get back. Your other option of a one way flight has it's pitfalls too. Contrar

That is complete nonsense. I hope you are joking. Read it again; "one pilot suggested that the Iranian crew had intentionally flown in harm's way in a suicidal gesture of Islamic martyrdom. "What the heck do the Iranians care if they die? They just go to Allah!" Just the words of a single xenophobe, with no basis in fact. Dear oh dear. Have at least a little respect for others; On July 3, 1988, during Operation Earnest Will, VINCENNES was situated in the Persian Gulf when the cruiser shot down an Iranian commercial Airbus A300B2-202 (Iran Air Flight 655) after mistaking -

Long, though interesting article(couldn't provide a link) Crash culture Who is to blame when a 22-year-old 747 falls from the sky? - - - - - - - - - - - - By P. Smith May 30, 2002 | Following the crash of a China Airlines Boeing 747 on Saturday, the press has been quick to bring up the seemingly related issues of aging aircraft and the questionable safety records of certain foreign airlines. The aircraft, a 747 of the original, so-called "classic" series introduced in the early 1970s, went down under mysterious circumstances about 20 minutes after takeoff from Taipei -

stiffler Details are with you. farman, as far as I can remember the last Aeroflot crash was in 1994. Not that I'm suggesting that I would fly with them, I'm just suggesting that their international product isn't as bad as you suggest. http://www.airlinequality.com/Airlines/SU.htm -

That would be upsetting. If this were the US we could sue them for the distress.. If you can be bothered connecting to FRA or PAR, they have Aeroflot for £400 to £425 respectively, for departures from the 17th. London for £537.70. -

Why didn't you go ahead and book it online? -
That would be £370 plus a hefty amount of taxes and charges(£117.30). Add in a flight from Ireland to London and you've arrivied at £540+. You can pick up a flight with Etihad from London for £386 inc for a Jan departure or a European flight(FRA) for around £400 return. Possibly not worth the hassle with the connections. Up to you.

Dear Moby69 I read all of it, that's why I have supplied details of a Pattaya travel agent. The reply that you are quoting was in reply to nanolund. OK?

Boxing Day is not "over Xmas", it's after Xmas. Anything before Xmas Day is £550. 17th Dec to (8th)9th Jan this year would be the typical three week break taken over Xmas. That's why it's the most expensive period. £550 is a good price. The connections may not be. 6/7 hours each way. Better than nothing though. Good spot. -

THE most expensive time of the year. I had those dates held a couple of weeks ago for a friend for £611 return. He dillied and dallied and it was gone. You can fly from Paris for £677 from the 22nd to the 12th on Singapore Airlines. Crap connection on the SIN outbound though. If low on cash and just want to get there; Malev from AMS for £502. Good connection times; Amsterdam Budapest 20 Dec 20:30 22:30 Economy MA 669 Budapest Bangkok 20 Dec 23:10 15:40 +1 Economy MA 80 Bangkok Budapest 10 Jan 00:05 06:30 Economy MA 81 Budapest Amsterdam 10 Jan 07:10 09:15 Econ

What about the bowl? Lead crystal? All postage paid? Any kind of ceremony? I'm busy watching Judge Judy at the moment, so I might not have time to attend the prize giving ceremony.
