Now, Tommy, be nice now. I think they were underrated for a while. In Economy, good service, good food and 34" seat pitch with personal TVs make it one my fave airlines. Though, if I don't feel like stopping over in KL I might try Evergreen Deluxe. I may take a look at the pricing of the China Airlines Premium seating.

My favourite airline, so far.

Mobile phones and SMS in Thailand

May not be neccesary to buy one if your current model is serviceable. Having a Thai number makes it easier to conduct you affairs whilst in the LOS. :) -
Mobile phones and SMS in Thailand
valentinoxxx replied to valentinoxxx's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
That's the point of this thread. To enable you to place a local SIM card, costing from around six pounds, into your existing mobile or indeed a mobile you choose to buy in the LOS. From then, your calls will cost you 8 pence(11 cents) per minute for national calls and around 55 pence(70 cents) per minute back to the UK. No charge for receiving calls. SMS 5 pence (7 cents) nationally and 15 pence(21 cents) internationally. Simply slip your Vodaphone SIM back into the phone when you return to the UK. -
Cheap as chips. Maybe they have a whacking premium on the utility rates.. Of course, you wouldn't stay there if they did.

They do have pick ups from certain hotels. Though, as stated, there are numerous options available. -

The are a fair amount of options here, including private minibuses, bookable in hotels for around 350 baht. The best value is Thai Limousine at 200 baht. http://www.thaiair.com/thailand/limousine/res_info.htm http://www.thaiair.com/thailand/limousine/...es.htm#Schedule -

I booked rows 21 outbound and 22 inbound for a couple of girlfriends, as it appears to has a 2:2 configuration as opposed to the 2:4:2 from 26 onwards. They were suitably pleased. I haven't had the pleasure of flying with them yet.

Special rate offered to Nanapongers for BKK5 star
valentinoxxx replied to Floyd's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
carcareers That's disgusting. In fact, I make it 424 baht per night they ripped you off for. The special weekly rate is 15900. For two weeks 31800. Divided by 14 is 2271. They charged 2695 per night. That's a difference of 424 baht per night. They are not a charity. It should be up to you what you do with that $10 nightly. I would write to the email address and get a deal out of them. Either complimentary nights(unlikely) or at least allowance for you to book at the 15900 weekly price at a date of your choosing and a possible upgrade. Also, send a PM to the guy who posted the deal -

Special rate offered to Nanapongers for BKK5 star
valentinoxxx replied to Floyd's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
carcareers Have you noticed how the Centrepoint rates have shot up? As a regular do they give you favourable prices? I rented the 2 bedroom 183 sq. m. apartment at Silom for 4200 per night. The next year it was around 8000! Now I think it's around 7000. This is all between 14 months. Ludicrous? BTW is the accommodation at the Solitaire for 2450 a one room apartment? Also, if I recall correctly, there was a special weekly rate of about 15900 all inclusive. Is this the rate you paid or did you pay the daily price? -
10 baht to Jomtien!! I paid 20! I've been ripped!! :)
