  1. Sounds as if it took place in Patts, but it didn't. Just thought I'd share: http://gma.yahoo.com/blogs/abc-blogs/naked-swimmer-distracts-homeowner-during-robbery-104950590.html
  2. The gods gave man fire; Man invented the fire engine. The gods gave man love; Man invented marriage!

  3. This is good to know. I'm considering visiting Hua Hin during my next trip.
  4. I am multiracial, and while most people in the country of my birth can figure what my origins are, in the U.S. people are confused. Some Hispanics think I am too; some Arabs likewise, and some Indians just look puzzled. In Pattaya, I was referred to as a "Chocolate Man" (not with malice), although some people also greeted me in Arabic! I didn't go to many Gogos, but those I went to didn't have a problem. Just cut your hair really short and say you are "Chocolate Man" . Another BM advised making a copy of your passport, enclosing it in plastic (or laminating it) and carry around instead of yo
  5. Man, are you dating yourself! The sad thing (?) however, is that I also remember when Elvis sang this song. Makes me an Old Fart too. Didn't mean to thread fuck, but I had to get that in
  6. I'm with you. I wouldn't like it happening to me, so I wouldn't do it to someone else. On my last visit, I kept a girl for several weeks, and one day, when I had left her in the hotel lobby while I went back to the room for something, when I came back down, she gave me a piece of paper with a phone number another guy staying in the hotel had given to her. He had approached her and told her to come to his room later. She told him that she was with someone but he still wanted her to visit him before he left in two days.
  7. Where would you recommend in that general area?
  8. You hit the nail on the head. Follow the link and look at the pix. He's huge basketball player and she tiny compared to him.
  9. Jimmer F got engaged. When they are lil to lip, her toes are on the pole; when they are toe to toe, her lips are on the pole! http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/blog/the_dagger/post/Jimmer-Fredette-surprises-girlfriend-with-an-eng?urn=ncaab-wp4471
  10. www.xe.com advertises on their website that they give the best exchange rate, change the funds to that of the recipient country, and dispatch to your bank in that country.I haven't used them personally, but it might be worth investigating.
  11. I'll be in Patts in October and would be interested if still available. Do the Baht buses go there, or would alternative transportation be required? Also, what's the neighborhood like; mostly farangs, mostly Thais; mixture? Thanks for any info.
  12. Arriving at Swampy (BKK)at 21:45 on October 06. Is anyone interested in sharing a taxi (and cost) to Patts? PM me if you do. Thanks
  13. Papa, you're a mother------, and I mean that in a good way
  14. Perhaps, after buying the BG a drink, you could ask her if she would go back with you. I've learned to also find out what she would and wouldn't do back in the room!
  15. The initial media reports regarding G.E. were inaccurate. Subsequent reports revealed that G.E. used LOSSES realized by their subsidiary, G.E. Capital to offset their other profits. Even so, they still owed and paid taxes. I can go at length about Wisconson's governor (who was financed by the Koch brothers) and how he's screwing the working class, but I think this forum is about Pattaya.
  16. I apologize for commenting on this topic on a forum DEALING WITH PATTAYA, but while the Tea Party is allegedly a "Grass Root movement", etc. etc., have you heard of the billionaire Koch brothers who are actually financing and pulling the Tea Party's strings? Look into it.
  17. I know that some bargirls receive financial assistance, but 100% seems pretty high to me. I'm not saying it's incorrect, but am interested in what other BMs think.
  18. Very detailed info. Thanks, JoeK, and also everyone who responded.
  19. On my recent visit to Patts, I opened an account at Kasikorn Bank, and as I plan on returning, did not close it when I returned to Falangland. I want to add to my balance periodically, but my bank (in New York) told me it would cost $40.00 USD each time I wired money. Are there cheaper ways to move money into my Kasikorn account? For example, can I mail a check (cheque to you Brits) to the bank and ask them to credit my account? If any BM can provide info, I'd be grateful.
  20. Why not just use a debit card (or credit card) from your falang bank to get cash from an ATM? Then you don't have to keep large amounts of cash in your room safe (or the safety box behind the hotel desk.
  21. Congrats. Wish I could be there...I have good memories of TQ2 from last November. Hope to be back soon Pattaya Bill
  22. I'm planning my first trip and I was told that this protects everyone.
