Thats a fair appraisal, the food in Stags head is very good indeed and the Golf Club is sound also, sling in the little Thai hole in the wall in the wall round the corner on Bukao and there is decent choice. There are differing type bars also, not sure why people slag it off as you can find what you want there, walk out of LK get a baht bus to Walking St.

Its a bit like the guys who have married Thai girls saying "Dont fall in love" it puzzles me, they did ? I know many of he girls quite well, many move from bar to "Proper job" while farming sponsers, whilst I cant give a percentage everyone I have got to know well has confirmed they have had/have sponsors. One girl on Soi 3 has been married twice 2 houses 2 cars and back in the bar looking for more. Unless the girls are telling lies to big themselves up ? amongst their peers they are fearsome for that the Thai face thing. Maybe they do it to farangs ? I met a guy in Pattaya a couple of years ago, nice chap anyway he tells me on his first trip he met a girl and sent her money every month until his next annual trip, he went for 2 months a year. Is it a house or a condo, the internet if you were on a rolling contract will just cut it. Electric and water if its condo they will manage it for you, the electric place is past Bangkok Hospital on Sukumvit heading towards Bangkok, turn left where the police statin is about 2 kilometres past Hospital .. Anything you were wired into pay you will need to, I had to pay 2k to get the electric in my name... suprised the electric is cut off as any bill under 300 baht is paid for by the Thai government or not charged as it were,

BIG C sell safes as do Tesco Lotus, for £250 you can get a great big heavy thing no chance theif could carry, the onces you get on Hotels are quite cheap maybe 2000 baht. The big one is good as laptops, camera and allsorts can go in ....

The long walk is good to get going, at times there have been 3 in the line and other times maybe a half hour wait. I can see why people would use it, I could also see why people would not up to you
