  1. I was hoping Man U would do well, I used to want Liverpool and Forest winning in the 70s they are the UKS represetatives in the competition... Man Utds team is more suited to the EPL rather than the slick passing the Spanish League gives, even as an Arsenal fan you cant help admire Fergie.
  2. I had breakfast there once it was ok no issues with it, Dave gets a regular clientele
  3. If you take your card and your passport to the bank you can take what you want out, I have taken 75000 out of my Nationwide account before
  4. There is a place opposite almost opposite Soi Honey I have seen the sign 180 baht a night, no idea what its like try that.

  6. I once had some money stolen from a behind the jump 2 keys hotel, puzzles me why the hotel staff would steal the lot ?
  7. Gary Glitter had one for sale, I would swerve it
  8. I booked a two week package trip in 88 with my farang wife, 4 days in Bangkok 10 in Pattaya we stayed at the Amari Orchid at the time they had an elephant in the grounds, had a great time the P4P was not in your face, I was a lot younger then and the US fleet were in had some real funny moments. One being I was tanned and had short hair, my wife was blond and tall a looker if I say so myself, one night I was asked by 2 of the American lads "Hey man where did you get here from" so I stated in the finest English I could muster "she is my wife I brought her with me" FAF
  9. Fuji is nice and civilised, there is a BBQ on Pattaya Tai near Big C , its unreal crayfish, big crab, monstor prawns etc 250 baht all the standard stuff. Not sure if it opens at night rather than lunchtime,
  10. Thats the bottom line, if you stay anywhere long enough you save what were rents 25 years ago to now ? As Patchike said, you know you are investing inb Los with all it brings work your numbers , whats your view about total loss etc. Some rent some buy, one thing is for certain anywhere those who cant afford to buy will not they dont have the option.
  11. Nature View on Soi Bukao, 800 baht a night all brand new value for money cant be beat ... maybe leave 200 a day as a tip for the cleaners :)
  12. I would agree with that, the Lek Hotel in Naklua has a great big pool I would imagine the kids would love it , also its far enough away from maybe what you would not want the kids to see as it were.
  13. Sam, yes they can be unlocked but 3 need to do it in the UK as it were, I had my last one unlocked.. and luckily I lost it .. I will check AIS as I have a sim , cheers
  14. I have just got a smartphone in UK on the 3 network, it needs unlocking to use in Thailand. Does anyone know what sort of 3g pay as you go deals are available in Los ? Thanks
  15. I use the spray from 7-11 legs and arms its pretty good, works no question..... Maybe get a high room as once they get on rooms you are knackered as it were..
  16. Areca Lodge is pretty good, not sure on the Wi-fi situation though, JP is good with wi-fi in the Lobby.. "Nature View" brand new, decent pool just past 18 Coins on the left towards the market is very nice for 800 a night.
  17. School Holidays mate, the 541 for late Aug is decent...
  18. Dave I agree with that MM, Mulphy get called GBOS you get slated many unsuccesfull people slate sucessfull ones, I guess their pitifull lives its an outlet. As an aside I know a guy who has opened a decent place 6 months ago, I suggested joining forums he said no "More people have a go than be positive" Many people here cant visit Los as much as they like, that seems to drive the bitterness also a very bitter ex bar owner posts a lot his place went pop through poor management and shit interpersonel skills.. Dont sweat it, good luck to all the business owners in Pattaya yo
  19. Nicked birds for fun.........good old days....
  20. Lucky man St Andrews is all I have on that list, about 6 years ago stayed at the Riviera Golf and Country Club in LA for a few days.
  21. Get some lessons, unless you have a decent grip and stance its like building a house on sand. Get a few fundamnetals right and you will be able to play , without them you are always going to stuggle. Anyone can play , but a few lessons before you hit a ball will give you such a head start....
  22. Heard its good must try it, the owner Ian is a very decent chap indeed.
