Its a tourist town, if they catch a few its what they do same as you I have never paid more than 10 baht... Being a long stayer Pattaya is too busy, but for a two weeker or a person who wants to be in the mix all the time then Pattaya is the place. I am puzzled regular visitors dont know its 10 baht ?

A few dimwitted farangs insult Thais and pay the price one way or the other, it makes sense to learn a bit about a culture before you travel there. Its well known Thais dont mind dieing as they "come back in the afternoon" where farangs dont come back In summary its ok to die if you are Thai but not as a farang.

100% , many go home after daft business plans its usually a drug or booze issue which gets them in the end. At least they get social help in their Western countries. On 3rd Road opposite the driving range there is a soi and a terrific dentist there, not cheap but very good. Cant remember the name of it ? Heard good reports about the German dentist half way up the hill towards Slumtien.
