Book Thai. Apparently they are running half empty with the cargo hold full of rice and veg for Qatar.

Well I for one am not shocked that Thailand might be selling rice to Qatar but I doubt they are importing it from the UK by bumping up the price of passenger seat prices.

Silly me. That blockade must be biting bad especially considering the amount of flights direct to Doha that the food could be put on before having to route it through Thailand.

Bit confused here. How do empty seat to USA, UK, Australia or indeed anywhere but Doha work in transporting food to Qatar?

I flew China Southern from Schiphol to Bangkok a couple of Christmases ago for the ridiculous price of £900 for business class. The staff were very good and the only negative I could think of on the way out was the size of the glass of wine I got served. Gave up and ordered whisky instead and it came as the same amount. Transiting in CAN wasn't to bad with a dedicated business class desk but looked like a nightmare for cattle. The lounge was nothing to write home about but had a lovely smoking room. If you want to do other things while in town I'd recommend The Sanctuary of Truth as the number one touristy thing to visit.

Larf. If Bangkok is Blackpool I'm not sure what Pattaya is on the same scale.

Only a short leg between KUL and BKK but it may be important to some that Malaysian don't serve alcohol on flights shorter than 3 hrs.

I love going to Tat Ton with the kids and extended family. Will be in the Chaiyaphum area for Christmas and seeing these photos has put a big smile on my face and got me a little more excited. Strangely it was the photo coming out of Chaiyaphum with the road sign for Nong Bua Daeng that pleased me most.
