  1. Outside of certain areas ie little Italy, little Portugal, etc most here have been flying and waving English Flags since the games began. Now if Spain can get knocked out I can win the office pool so I am cheering for Spain to go out next.
  2. Spent a night there this past Feb. and had a great time. Took 2 girls from a walking St gogo and had no problmes or added cost. The room was large and very unique as someone else said. The hotbut was large enough for the 3 of us to have fun. the lights and mirrors over the bed added some fun. The girls enjoyed the dance pole and the sex swing. I didnt hear any noise from the club down stair or from anything outside for that matter. It had an in room safe which I liked, they also had everything right there in case you forget anything from condoms to toothbrush to shower cap. There is a charge if you use this stuff but it is nice to have it that close if you run out of something. there are a few photos of the room in my trip report to show the room and what is there.
  3. Looks like everyone was having a good time. Sorry I missed that night.
  4. great video and song
  5. I have stayed at the Residence Garden on all my past trips and have just booked it again for my up coming trip in Feb. The rooms are huge and i like that there are 2 AC units, one for the bedroom and another for the sitting area. The in room safe is large enough to store a lap top, ipod, camera, papers etc. The staff have always been friendly and helpful and there is always someone at the front desk. As far as location I have never had a problem I have returned to the room as early as 9 pm and as late as 5 am. There is always baht buses going by. As someone else has posted there is a massage place right across the street, a mini-mart, ATM and great laundry right across the street aswell. On the same side is a small inter-net place if you want to check e-mails etc. During my last trip another BM and I spent an afternoon checking out some other hotels just to compare and to see what it might be like closer to the action and I have to say nothing compared to the RG. It is close enough to everything without the sounds of music and all the people coming and going.
  6. Yep been staying at the RG since my first trip and have always enjoyed it there. One of the best things about the place is the staff is always friendly and willing to help.
  7. Very beautiful, thank you for the update.
  8. Have stayed at the RG for all my trips and have never been charged for having over-night guest. It is a great place to stay, the staff is friendly, the rooms are large and clean, have large in room safe, 2 large pools. they offer free wifi, there is a ATM, massage, Mini Mart, laundry right across the steet. It is on a main baht bus route so no problem getting a bus.
  9. Yep, when it was Lennie's stopped in almot nightly when in town for a few drinks. When it went to Shooters still popped in but less with each visit.
  10. Have to agree the Residence Garden is a great place to stay. As others have said it is guest friendly, large rooms, separate AC controls for the bedroom and main room. The in room safe is large enough to hold a large lap-top, camera, personal papers etc. Wireless inter-net, 2 pools, good restaurant on site. Plus there is a laundry, 7-11, massage, ATM all just across the street. Baht bus’s go by all night so no trouble getting to and from. Also like the fact that you can arrange for an airport pick up so after a long flight no worries about your ride down. A friendly driver, clean cars and the fact that he works for the hotel he knows how to get there and it is in their best interest to get you to the hotel.
  11. Looking forward to your update Mkindy. Looks like an interesting place for a night.
  12. Had the pizza aswell as several other items during my last trip and everything was great. Was talkig to another BM the other day and he suggested that we make a pizza night there during our next trip for sure. I agree, reasonable prices, friendly staff, beautiful view and good food.
  13. Anyone have any new information on this place? A website that offers alittle more info like room cost?
  14. Made several stops at your place on my last trip and always had a great time. Looks like things are picking up and next trip i am sure it will be even better. Can't wait to be back.
  15. Congrats on your 1 year anniversary and hope there are many more.
  16. Adam, Thanks for the great photos. You out did yourself.
  17. Was in Pattaya last year from July 4 to July 25 and didn't have any problems due to rain. Most days when it did rain it was early afternoon when I was sitting around the hotel or at the mall anyway. By 8 pm when I was ready to head out to the bars everything was fine. Don't worry about the weather, go and enjoy your B-day.
  18. La Mole Italian Restaurant. The best thing there was the Garlic Bread and the food was cold by the time it made it to the table.
  19. Another party I am going to miss . Hopfully Nov is as active as Oct has been.
  20. I just booked for Mar.2006 and recieved an e-mail sying the price is 1350 and that everything is booked and confirmed. Have stayed at the RG on all 3 of my other trips and find the place to be great. Just far enough away from the action you have no problems. The rooms are huge and clean and I find the staff very nice and helpful.
  21. My airline of choice for Canada to Thailand is BA. Have had nothing but great service, on time flights and good seating. I really enjoy getting into BKK around 3:00 pm. Gives lots of time to get to Pattaya for that first night of fun. Will be using BA again for my March trip.
  22. Interesting read Pete, Sounds like you have been getting some fan mail, it doesn't matter if it is positive or negative just getting it means that people are reading the column. As the old saying goes " You can't please everyone all the time".
  23. Have spent all 3 of my trips to Pattaya staying at the Residence Garden and have to say it is top rate. Pros: 1. Friendly knowledgeable staff. 2. Great pool area. 3. Huge rooms with seperate controls for the air con in the bedroom and main room. 4. Guest friendly. 5. Great restaurant on site. 6. For me a great location, far enough away from the action that it is quiet and relaxing but still on the main Baht bus route and only a short drive to Walking Street. 7. In room safe. Cons: I have yet to find any.
  24. Glad to hear that no one was hurt. Hope the damage wont be to bad.
  25. Last I heard he was married to Sheryl Crow and looking like a very happy guy.
