For what it's worth - I spent two days in BKK before going upcountry for the weekend. All the taxis told me that nobody's going to BKK not even buses which of course was not true. Evil gave me a referral and going to Sukhumvit was a breeze, actually easier than usual. There were no issues at all while I was there - of course my playground was very limited on sukh between Nana Plaza and soi 38 but even going in and out had no issues Just came back through BKK last night and I personally haven't experienced anything out of the ordinary while also watching the news and so on.

I spent a week there in October and loved it. True, my room was in the back because of the construction and sadly there seem to be no room with a nice view anymore but don't spend much time in room and when I do, the view is of a very low priority. Because of that I had a nice price break, saved 500/night over Eastiny place for a slightly smaller but better room. If you want view, you can always go to the rooftop pool. Breakfast and food in general good and fairly priced. My cleaning lady was an absolute gem, the most attention to detail of all my trips and nearly fell over when I tipped her.

The OP never replied back. That could mean only 2 things imho: 1. he's a troll 2. he realized his mistake and too ashamed to take it any further -
Anyone knows what time their buffet starts in the evening(Wednesday, Saturday) by any chance?

Thanks., I needed this!

Typhoon Haiyan. More rain next week?
Patna replied to CheshireTom's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
(Sorry, edit.) Don't believe we need more rain, do we? And whoever is in Angeles should get their ass on a plane asap. I know a couple of girls are already in Bangkok, saw it on FB. -
It may be a weird comparison but same as a steak - should be cooked rather fast but if it's overcooked, becomes dry and hard.

That's cheating I bet if you'd put Miss Apple in front of the Sanctuary instead of a reflective white wall with low light, the result would be different.

It's not just about getting a larger file, with a camera you get a picture that is far superior that of a cell phone. Although I was able to get a few good shots with my smartphone, I would never chance taking pics only with a phone. It is of course sufficient to take snaps that look OK on the phone screen but as soon as you put them on the big screen, you'll be able to see the faults. I'd say in my personal experience the success rate of pictures taken with a phone is about 1 out of 5. As Tom said, the processor and the optics are the important thing to great pics, not the pixels. I carry an

It was grilled and I'm quite confident that it was real. A bit dry to me and I believe that was due to the fact that most people aren't to keen of eating liver, except the French. Remember when living in the States, I couldn't make any of my friends eat liver of any kind. They still believe that liver is for the cats...

Dunno, quite common in Hungary. I personally prefer duck and goose.

The point is that if you can eat a variety of things then there's no comparison of course, it would be unfair.

Looks like I'm not very good with numbers :) Next time I'll take a pic of the bill...

Yep, that's the one.

Motivated by the success of my other French restaurant topic, I've decided to open myself up for more abuse. At the time of the action I had no intention of starting this thread, so - much to my regret - I didn't take pictures of the appetizers, which included smoked salmon, raw oysters, clams, shrimp cocktail, sushi, serrano ham wrapped melon, spring rolls, pate and cold cuts. The main course included(but not limited to) lamb roast, beef, honey glazed ribs, calf liver, chicken, four kinds of fish, parrott fish and sole, squid, shrimp with various salads followed by great desserts. Unfortunate

There you go! Almost had one of those 7 years ago in Siem Reap but in the last minute the guy told me what it was and I chickened out.

Have terrible pizza experiences in Pattaya however I decided to give it one more try. There's a small Italian open air restaurant on Arunothai (of all places) near Nirun condo. Had a small pizza with thin crust, anchovies and capers(a first in Thailand as well) and the house red wasn't bad either.

What do you mean by "start up"? You mean this is your own business venture?

Jeez' Fatboyfat, not you too!? Have you ever had a proper espresso before? To the onion soup lovers I only ask if they ever ordered French onion soup from room service in a 3 star hotel? Tough fuckin' crowd...

It does look like the place and I might have mistaken the price. I called my friend who drove me there but his answer was: "I go there to eat, not to read", the bottom line is that I'll never again start a thread with incomplete information and without a food styler, that's a promise...
