  1. Jimmybb you have that a bit wrong mate Agent007 was inquiring about where to stop at, The Sandy Spring or Flipper House. Just go to the top of the page and read the original post. Bigmike.
  2. Travelingfox I was just about to reply about the Inn, I have never stopped there but last time I was in Pattaya at the SS I done a room check and got some rates of them, I still have them and you are right about the cleaning etc. As I was More interested in the monthly rates I didn't pay much attention to the daily or weekly rates so after a quick check I can see where I went wrong. But like I said surely if your staying at the Inn for a month you would have to pay the extra to have the room and linen done daily (you cant bring a TG back to a bed with snail marks all over the sheets can you) s
  3. Sorry if I got up your nose travelingfox but one point I'm trying to make is that the Inn House are apartments where as the Sandy Spring is a hotel. The Inn House change linen 2 or 3 times a week where as the Sandy Spring change it daily, also the Inn House charge for electricity and water, it has no swimming pool and in my opinion the rooms are a lot smaller than the Sandy Spring. Other than that they are both quite new and are in a great location. I didn't mean to upset you but there are some people who tend to post some absolute garbage about accommodation in Pattaya. Bigmike. PS I
  4. Bazza. It doesn't matter what you post the so called experts just won't believe you. Bigmike.
  5. Mate the rooms at the Inn House would have to be the smallest that I have seen, Plus your up for water and electricity charges, bed linen not changed daily and if it is it costs extra, also no swimming pool or restaurant. Honestly I don't know where some of you guys are coming from. The Sandy Spring would have to be one of the best value for money hotels in the area. But it's up to all you so called experts. Bigmike.
  6. mrstein. Here is a posting from a fellow boardie, 990Baht per night, nice pool I don't know much about the food but the Sportsmans Bar is right next door where you can get a great feed and get your laundry done. Guest friendly good staff and it's about half way between Walking st and Soi's 7 & 8. Bigmike. Hello Rob, Just backing up what what Big Mike said. I was in the Sandy Springs just over a week ago. I got a 30 hour Loxinfo package for around 350 baht from the front desk. It came with all instructions on how to set it up. Dont forget to put in the 9, to get an outside line. T
  7. bigmofo. You may have a valid point there. I do fly Business Class, I stop at the Sandy Spring, I rent a car and when I go out on the town I would rather have a wad of 1000 Baht notes in my pocket than a hand full of satangs. Bigmike.
  8. LeoTex. Yes mate you have a good point about Soi 13, it is quite and the Hotels are great with a few nice beer bars to have a drink in. Bigmike.
  9. I think if you read some of the reviews they will tell you that the Sandy Spring have bigger rooms and there is no extra charge to bring multiple girls back to your room I think Leo Tex will back me up here also the Sandy Spring has a good sized pool. I will admit that I stop at the Sandy Spring all the time. Bigmike.
  10. You say that you pay 7000Baht per month for a room on previous trips, that's whole 3 pommy pounds per night for a room. Well I can only imagine that you must have very exciting holidays in Thailand, but on the other hand if thats you scene and you enjoy it OK. Bigmike.
  11. Fucking hell what's the matter with you guys. A paltry 5 bucks a night when your on holidays, give me a break. The drink prices and B/F'S go up so what the fuck are you carrying on about. Just my opinion. Bigmike.
  12. Mate Soi Buakhao is miles away from anything as far Hotels go although I will admit there are some good Bars there, I also don't like walking there of a night, not to safe. Bigmike.
  13. travelingfox. The Sandy Spring is guest friendly check it out on the scandibar web site. scandibar The Sandy Spring Bigmike.
  14. eddydb, Bazzap is right just ask, and if they won't come down to 990 baht just quote the Scandibar rates, they will match them or just book thru them. But without any bullshit it is a very good Hotel to stay at. Bigmike.
  15. It's not that, but all the crazy cunts driving buses etc who, as soon as they see a falang head straight toward me. The cunt's. Bigmike.
  16. Mate the map is wrong. The Lek Hotel is on the corner of Second rd and Soi 13 not Soi 12. Also have you ever tried crossing Second rd, may be if you into suicidal tendencies you might, and who would want to sleep on top of a beer bar!!!!!!!?. Bigmike.
  17. Mate. I visited the Koenig and had a few drinks last year as I was considering that Hotel but I found it rather as you might say distant if you were not German. Bigmike.
  18. But magnus It's not a cheap hotel at 2000+ Baht per night + joiner fee tho the position is not bad as far as Walking st goes. cybers your pretty right in what you say. Bigmike.
  19. The Sandy Spring Hotel on Soi 13 can hook you up just ask at the front desk when you check in and they will set you up with an account. The Hotel is 990 baht per Night and extremely handy to all the action. Bigmike. Sandy Spring Hotel
  20. bigDUSA. Let us know how you got on with Alex this last trip please bigDUSA. I have used him twice before and had no hassles at all that is to and from Pattaya. I expect to be there in mid September. Bigmike.
  21. No mate no in room safes but they do have safety deposit boxes. Just tell them when you check in that you want the 990 baht rate that has been quoted on other web sites, don't forget that it's now the quite season in Pattaya and believe me this place is in a top location don't get caught down around soi's 3,7 & 8 or the Residence Garden which can be a pain to travel to and from two, you don't want to walking a mile in 90 degree heat and 100 % humidity. Bigmike.
  22. erik_e. Try The Sandy Spring Hotel in soi 13 it's half way between Walking st and the Beer Bars in soi's 7 & 8. Nice pool, girl friendly, good big rooms, some rooms have great views also. You should be able to get a room rate starting at 990baht a night. Here is the link. Bigmike. Sandy Spring Hotel
  23. No mate never had a problem. I stop there when ever I'm in Pattaya. It might be idea tho to ask for a confirmation of your booking. Bigmike.
  24. Paul. There must be at least 50 posts about the Sandy Spring and they are all good. Just do a search and you will find them, there are also some reviews. Just go to the top and click hotels then follow the prompts. Bigmike.
