hoppalong. Believe me mate you won't be disappointed with the Sandy Spring. You are about half way between Walking st and Soi 8 come out the Hotel and turn right to get a bus to Soi 8 etc,turn left to go to Walking st etc, the location is quite no joiner fee and big beds in very clean rooms. They have room service and it is right next door to the Sportsman's Bar where they have a big screen and great meals. Really you can't go wrong by staying there. Bigmike.

Mick mate I haven't stopped there but I know where it is and to be quite honest I wouldn't like to travel from say the FLB Bar or Misty's at 2 am in the morning pissed with two or three girls in tow to the R.G. As I have said before I still use my debit card at the ATM'S I refuse to pay the commision on T/C'S and It's to easy to loose cash. I take three cards with me from different banks but only take one with me at a time to withdraw cash. I have a A$2000 limit per day on them so I can withdraw 60,000 baht per day (plenty of B/F'S & L/D'S there) and just use my credit card as back up. [smiley=cheers.gif], Bigmike.

ThomasDK. I wouldn't stop there if I were you, small rooms,poor security,tiny beds and a joiners fee of 600 Bht. There is also a multitude of beer Bars around the place and creating a lot of noise, transport is a huge problem with nothing near by. Air con is also a serious problem as they seem to never work. I'm a bit like you as far as rembering the safety deposit box hours, but I have arrived quite late at night and got access to them, so I think that they are 24/7, and your right about room security I don't think there is a problem leaving a laptop in your room.
