I'm a bit skeptical about using a jacuzzi in a hotel as there can be to much bacteria collected in the system if there not properly cleaned and maintained to get rid of these bugs. You can just imagine how many billions of somebody else's tadpoles have been emptied out into these jacuzzi's each day . Bigmike.

CORAL208 here is the link for two hotels all owned by the same people who own The Sandy Spring. The Royal Twin is one of them. Bigmike. The link

Mate it's a fair distance from the Sandy Spring, so should be no problem as far as noise goes. Bigmike.

Sunny a bit of triva for you. All DVD players sold in Australia these days can play any DVD'S from any where in the world as they are all multi zoned. The Australian Government claim that the multi zoning policy is not valid here, at least we get some things right. You can pick up a new DVD player for under 100 bucks Aussie here that can be played any in the World. Bigmike.

Christmas in pattaya-- cant get a hotel
Bigmike replied to robio's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Don't forget that most of the hotels bung on a surcharge from December 25 for about 10 days, the surcharge varies but is in the vicinity of 300 baht. Bigmike. -
25 to 30 years ago it was THE in place to stay at. It built up a reputation during the Vietnam war and stayed there for quite a few years after. Just a bit of nostalgia. Bigmike.

OK Sunny I see what you mean, thank you. Bigmike.

automatic teller machines - atm
Bigmike replied to ladydog's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Cool Dude you can use any Australian ATM cards from any bank that have the CIRRUS logo on it, this logo is normally on the back of the card. I know for a fact that Commonwealth and Westpac Banks supply them automatically on there key cards. They can be used any where in the world at any ATM'S that display the CIRRUS logo including Thailand and the Philippines. I use mine all the time in Pattaya and never had a problem. Bigmike. -
Mate you really give out a wealth of information. Bigmike.

What exactly is a tourist visa?
Bigmike replied to maniac's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
cybers I was referring to the non immigrant visa for multi entry's. The 90 day free entry visa on arrival still confuses me a little as you have put it. As far as I can see on the web site you still have to apply for it and it costs 45 bucks and is for 60 days with a 30 day extension available. But when it all boils down it is a handy visa to have for an extended stay. Three months is a good holiday in Thailand. Apparently the Visas are issued on the spot in Sydney if you have all the documentation including return ticket. Bigmike. -
What exactly is a tourist visa?
Bigmike replied to maniac's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
cyber the Thai Consulate here in Australia seem to pretty easy on us Aussies as far as multi entry visa's go. I don't know why, may be it has something to do with the new free trade agreement. They cost $225 Aussie dollars though and are good for one year. Bigmike. -
This may not be relevant but I was in the Philippines in July this year and found perfumes and mens eau de toilette's cheaper in the big mega malls in Manila than at the airport d/f, eg: Hugo Boss no 1 was about $10 Aussie cheaper in the mall than d/f, $46 at the mall and $56 at the airport and $98 at Sydney duty free for a 120Ml bottle, big $$$$'s. Bangkok duty free is also about $10-$12 cheaper for booze per litre bottle than Sydney, Cointreau at Sydney is about $36, Bangkok $26. So the point being I will never buy at Sydney duty free again. Bigmike.

Well Sunny I have traveled back and forward quite a few times on a motor scooter and I couldn't do it that time. To get from the corner of Sth Pattaya and Phratamnak Rd's to Thappraya Rd used to take me at least 10 minutes. Bigmike.

Ten minute ride to where all the action is in Pattaya, what is jet propelled or something or may be a helicopter. Give me a break mate. Bigmike.
