  1. I'd read all of Irvine Welsh's books (I don't read books) and I was watching the opening ceremony for the London Olympics and commented that I thought it was a load of bollox. My Sister told me it was directed by Danny Boyle, the same guy that directed the movie Trainspotting. I looked him up on IMDB and fuck me if he hasn't directed some of my favourite alltime movies. He also said that Apocalypse Now was one of his fave movies. Same same me. Shit sound quality because the Nobs keep blocking posters but you should buy the DVD or BR and check it out. One of the best movie scenes
  2. Trainspotting John Hodge Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose a three-piece suite on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-
  3. PS.... Does anybody recognise the girl in the snapshot from the Trainspotting movie that I posted above (second from left). She is in one of my favourite ever US TV series..... nice tits...
  4. Fed up with draconian pub and club opening hours, the Youth of the day sought out derelict warehouses, kicked in the doors and set up all night partys that the Police were too scared to enter, lol. Ecstacy was sweeping the UK as the party drug of choice. It was huge. Before E nobody really bothered with drugs. Alcohol was dead. Pubs were dead. A new generation embraced dance music. Rock music was dead. Football Hooliganism was dead. Everybody was loved up dancing and shagging on E. The Youth were travelling the length and breadth of the UK and intermingling like never before because of territo
  5. Essex Boys on tour in the USA, lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKmhlA2S2KU&feature=player_detailpage
  6. Loved my Raving Days. I was one of Thatcher's Children. I was selling cellphones when they first hit the UK back in 1986. I was earning thousands every day. I was 22 years old. Thought those days would never end, lol. Warehouse partys and outdoor raves in fields around the M25 London orbital motorway. Guided to the partys by helicopters with searchlights and pirate radio stations. Fuck the Police. Great days, happy days.
  7. Good stuff Spike. You don't look old enough to have been around for that.
  8. Fairly sure that I've seen 185 Baht for a bottle of SML reported here for a couple of Agogos. But like MM says, there's a few tricks on avoiding having to pay these prices.
  9. He is being told what to do at the moment because they're doing so badly. Too much money at stake to let him think he's running the show.
  10. If you're an Old Aged Pensioner it's a good spot to crash for your entire holiday.
  11. Walked into the indoor bit of Martini one night in Phnom Penh and this choon started playing. Couldn't believe my ears. Never expected to hear good club music from back home in such a place. I was glad that I had consumed a large Happy Pizza before I arrived, lol.
  12. And another sample... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxazMhEoy_Q&feature=player_detailpage
  13. Recognise the genius in the music and take it on a new trip
  14. Yes Liverpool will run out of steam as will Arsenal once they've played enough Champions League Matches. Spurs have the depth of Squad to endure 4 competitions but AVB is lacking in how to use them.
  15. I'm pretty sure I'd have been asking the price of a SML as that's what I usually drink in Pattaya. You are correct that an answer was not forthcoming. I had to visit the venue to find out and I'd forgotten as soon as I left, lol. I do remember that it was at the upper end but not the most expensive Agogo in Town. Some bars do 'Specials' on bottled beers but seem to omit SML for some reason even though I suspect it's the most popular bottled beer in Patts. X Zone, Private Dancer and Heaven Above spring to mind for some reason. Sue me if I'm wrong.
  16. Beautiful properties, presented very well.
  17. Not my cup of tea but is the Blues Factory still going?
  18. Well done. AVB had no answer to Allardyce.
  19. I think West Ham will win 3 V 0
