  1. I've tested it on two laptops. Same same. I've noticed other posters have had the same problem.
  2. I stayed there when it opened and it was great. Fucking huge room. The Owner (Aussie or Kiwi) was on site as renovations were ongoing and couldn't have been more helpful if he tried. Think the room was 800/night, fantastic value. The windows were even clean on the inside
  3. Nearly every time I hit the quote button, the post is displayed twice in the reply box and I need to delete one of them. No, it's not my mouse.
  4. Not for me when there's a great big bus with ample space going to and from Ekamai. I've done too many border runs squashed in like a sardine.
  5. Not the same as before. Before I could hover over a name and it would tell me when that BM had last visited the topic. Now it tells me what other topic that BM is reading. What was the point in this upgrade? What are the improvements?
  6. This upgrade seems to have eliminated the problem of having to copy, refresh, paste which was a royal pain in the arse. Definitely worth the short term teething problems imho Edit: Damn it, spoke too soon! Think I'll upgrade to IE10 on the weekend and see if that's the solution.
  7. I was doing border runs to Cambodia every fortnight for a few months and sometimes on the mini bus there would be girls travelling alone. At first I thought they were Thai girls. My assumption was that they were probably going to the border to visit the casino on the Cambo side. After chatting to one girl it turns out she's Laos and works bar in Patts but does visa runs. It made perfect sense. I always falsely assumed the Laos girls were working illegally in Thailand. Some are I suppose. As for Drinking Street, I used to go there nearly every night but even there it's not as good for findi
  8. Think what you like. IE10 wasn't working on my previously rock solid Windows 7 64 bit O.S. It had to go until I have time to make it work.
  9. I didn't surf around. It kept crashing so I decided after @ 30 mins that I was going back to IE9. Now that I think about it, I might have uninstalled IE10 before!
  10. Almost a year since I've been in Pattaya. I'm missing it. Actually I'm missing the 'Old' Pattaya. Evocative posts like Butch's give me the desire to return but general reports reassure me that I should crack on with work and replenishing the coffers. AC still holds more appeal to me for a P4P trip but I almost always top and tail it with stopovers in Pattaya. I've always had good GFE in Patts, couldn't find it last time I was there for 10 weeks. Mind you, that was on the way home from a year of fun in AC and a biggish alcohol problem with all the associated downers. More a problem with how I f
  11. I've been unlucky enough to have stayed in Memorial, P.I.H. and Bangkok Pattaya, all for heart attacks and must say that Bangkok Pattaya take the piss when they know you have an Insurance policy that they can rape!
  12. I've told the story before on this forum. It was many years ago. I can try and search for it and post a link. I'm slightly inebriated at the moment so it won't be tonight (me and the search function are not compatible). If I can't find it, I'll do a new post. It's quite a long story as you can imagine.
  13. I know exactly what you mean and it was the very first thing I noticed when I came to post on this forum. That was the first sign that something was wrong so I uninstalled the piece of shit.
  14. When I first read the story in his TR my first instinct was to lambast him for being such a pathetic, push over. I'm so glad I didn't. I paused and reflected on some of the places in the World that I've been fortunate to visit. Places where People that have almost nothing in material terms throw open their arms and their doors to complete strangers and humble you with their hospitality. I wondered that perhaps the OP might have been from someplace like that. There are many places like that. I'm just a cynical fucker from London Town that has grown up surrounded by slimey, con artist cunts ever
  15. They kept me alive when I suffered a heart attack on my first trip so I am eternally grateful to them for that even though they called the B.I.B. on me when it was time to settle the bill, LOL.
  16. Butch what are you trying to do to me! Man, you really sold that idea. What wouldn't I do to be sitting at the bar in FLB right now sampling those Cocktails. Tweaking them with the Bar Tender until just right (any excuse will do). A lovely Hostess for company. Tentative plans for the night ahead swirling around in the slightly sozzled brain. Then stepping out onto the infamous Walking Street.... I read posts like this and then there's Cheshire Tom posting details of cheap flights to LOS. You're making it difficult for a man to abstain from the addiction!
  17. Windows Update installed IE10 for me while I was sleeping last night. I had to uninstall it, kept crashing all the time. It seemed to have some sort of spell check built into it that was evident when I tried posting here. Anybody here using IE10 successfully? If so, what version of Windows are you running? T.I.A.
  18. I've done it several times on one bike. Suitcase goes between driver and handlebars, me on the back with laptop in backpack. Feels very unsafe though that's why I opt for two if available.
