  1. What is the reasoning behind having separate nights for SML drinkers?
  2. No parking allowed anywhere on Beach Road. If you have diagonal parking you'd need to reverse blind out of a parking bay into a lane of fast moving traffic. Very dangerous.
  3. Great stuff, thanks. Whoever landscaped the front of Avenue Mall needs shooting. It's like a fucking obstacle course.
  4. I wonder has there been any suicide leaps inside the Central Festival Mall? A bit more upmarket than the roof of Mike Mall. Go out in style, lol.
  5. Good prices on the bottled beers but why no SML?
  6. I also was unaware that you could buy a car without a heater. Of course it makes perfect sense not to have one if there's no need. They can be useful when your engine is running hot or overheating. Turning the heat up full helps cool the engine by radiating heat from the heater matrix. Only a temporary fix because you will be sweating your bollox off inside the car even with all the windows wound down.
  7. I think that's a great price. Would I be able to hand back the car at Swampy or does it have to be returned to Pattaya?
  8. That's really useful, thanks.
  9. The prom needed updating/repairing imho but widening the road is a waste of fucking time and like you say, making the prom narrower is also making it more dangerous for pedestrians unless they're going to install an Arnco barrier the length of Beach Road. They should have just banned all private cars from BR. Let the Baht Buses and motorbikes on and also service vehicles that need access. The pavement on the East side of BR needs widening and updating more than the Promenade.
  10. You captured a bit of history there, well done. What about the Buddhist shrine that's there? Gone too?
  11. I've never seen any reports of anybody visiting it. Often wondered how you get to and from, etc. Isn't there another one also?
  12. With the exception of possibly only MM, Gabor must surely have had the most green (+ve) votes awarded him than any other forum member. Testimony to his popularity amongst fellow board members such as myself
  13. You shouldn't underestimate the healing power of a short time.
  14. I'd like to try whatever it is that you're on. Just once.
  15. Would love you to spike my drink one day :)
  16. Anyway, I wonder how the party went tonight? If I was in Patts I would have checked it out. SML all night at 95 per bottle is good. I like to support bars with sensibly priced beer even if it's only a party night. Leaves me with more money to buy lady drinks, lol.
  17. LOL, I know what you're saying but I just think it's best to keep it as simple as possible when there's so many different languages in Pattaya.
  18. Fucking hate Waitresses that do the lift and swirl on my beer bottle, sometimes looking into it like a telescope. Fuck off, I'll call you when I'm ready.
  19. Well now you know to ask for a San Miguel Dark. I think that's a great name for it even though it's not the real name. Makes it easy for the Staff imho. Light or Dark?
  20. That's interesting to me, thanks for the photo. I can just about make out that it says 'product of the Philippines' on the label yet the label looks more akin to the Spanish San Miguel beer rather than the Philippine San Miguel Beer. I'm wondering if that is aimed at the European Tourists who are more familiar with the Spanish beer. I dislike the taste of the Spanish beer but like the Philippine one. In the UK we can't get the Philippine one or SML. I think San Miguel Spain must have had their lawyers block the Philippine beer which is a real shame because they used to be the same company a long time ago. I'm positive the Philippine beers would be popular in the UK and outsell the Spanish beer. How long has it been available in Thailand as I've never seen it on sale before? Is it brewed in LOS or imported and bottled? Can you also get the San Miguel Apple flavour which is now very popular in the Philippines? T.I.A. Philippine label. Spanish Label
  21. Agreed. Main reason why I stopped going there.
  22. Excellent.
