  1. Stopped by during Loy Krathog for a drink and was very impressed by the place and layout of restarant and bar. definatenly nothing like the Bkk beer garden. Personally i think this place doesnt need freelancers to draw the crowds and maybe add a pool table area and would be mostly where people take a date rather than find one. Either way this place looks a big success already.
  2. Sheraton would be my choice. Stayed there several times and never had problem bringing back guests. The girls have to leave ID at reception.
  3. joekicker, BigD posted over a year ago. I would like any updatd info if anyone has any. Cheers.
  4. Any update for reliable car and driver. Need driver in Pattaya for trip to croc farm and early morning trip to airport.
  5. Thanks for attemptiong to clear this up but while both bills were taken away in separate checkbins but when the waitress returned i still got 2 separate bills returned to me in 1 checkbin. Which is why i never uderstood the point of taking away the 2 bills since che came back with thesame 2 bills. A few steps a way at Insomnia club Bacradi + coke is happy hour drink.
  6. Well been back to Windmill a few times since i last posted and happy to report Lipo is indeed now included in the Happy Hour drinks. However last night i believe i got overcharged! Turned up around 9pm and had two lipos (50bht x 2) when my friend turned up and ordered a bacardi coke. He got his drink and a separate checkbin. I attempted to put his bill in my bin as i was goin to pay both bills when a waitress comes over and asks if i want the bills together and i say yes. She then proceeds to take both bins and bills away to the counter and returns with the bills in one checkbin. I thought
  7. Paid a visit last night for Happy Hour and ordered a lipo but did not get Happy hour prices and was charged 95bht. Was told if i had ordered vodka with my lipo then the price of the drink would be 50bht! not sure what the logic is to charge 50bht for Vodka + Lipo but almost double for only lipo!
  8. Khon kaen i stayed at Sofitel for 1900bht booked online via a hotel booking site. Great value for the money and excellent location. Chiang Mai i stayed at the Raming Lodge and paid 1000bht booked online too. Great location near lots of beer bars but not noisy and also walking distance to the night market Right now can't remember the name of the booking site i used. Will update this thread if i find it otherwise try a google search for online discount hotel booking site.
  9. Arrive BA flight from UK around 3pm if anyone wants to share cost of a taxi.
  10. like you io like soft beds. Hotels below have soft beds in order of preference. For your budget i would go with Eastiny Hotel soi 10. Dynasty Inn soi 13 - 1200bht www.dynastyinn.com Eastiny Hotel soi 10 - 990bht www.eastinypattaya.com Sunshine Hotel soi 8 - 900bht www.sunshinepattaya.com You might be able to get a cheaper rate if you ask. Eg, i usually get Dynasty for 1090 and Eastiny for 900bht in low season.
  11. you probably refering to this hotel. http://www.crownpattayabeach.com/ Hotel is open for business. Website still under construction but has some photos.
  12. 2800bht is not good value IMO with no swimming pool, no gym, no restaurant (let alone 24hr), no great view and in addition not a good location. Also no lifts and you are paying 2800bht to have to climb 4 floors to get to your room?!?!
  13. Just read your post about the Vault and if you are paying 2800bht which is alot for a room in Pattaya anyway then for an extra 700bht you would have lifts and not climbing 4 floors of stairs, 24hr room service, his/hers robes, slippers, ironing board, swimming pool (3 at sheraton), gym, restaurants (3 at sheraton) and great views at the sheraton or marriott. Also its not about impressing the girls its about personal preferences. If you only spend a few hours in your room then i can imagine you are out partying day and night and spending lots of money in town. I like to party but i also lik
  14. I have stayed in cheap hotels (Woraburi Inn Bkk, Eastiny) and 5 star hotels (Sheraton Bkk and Pattaya, Westin Bkk, Hyatt Bkk) in Thailand and personally depends how long i am staying or if its an occasion like my birthday then i might splash out a bit more. I have to say that staying in a 5 star establishment like Sheraton Pattaya gives you a great feeling and at the end of your holiday you can go back to work feeling refreshed and well rested. £50 a night wont even get you a room in most B&Bs in London and to pay that amount for a 5 star hotel IMO is a mega bargain. Also like some h
  15. I have used Westeast several times and never had a problem when booking over the phone. The last time though i made my booking on their website and found the fare rules displayed for the ticket i purchased were different to the ticket i was told i had bought when i received an email confirmation. So i would recommend caling them and NOT use their website as it is dodgy at best. basically my flexi ticket suddenly became non changeable and i also got only 50% miles credited.
  16. West East usually have the best price but if possible call them and avoid booking online as their website s a little dodgy. i booked a flght online and got sold a ticket different to what i selected on their website. I have travelled to Thailand 20 times using various sites includig opodo, ebookers and lastminute.com and this is the first time this hapened and still trying to get this sorted with them.
  17. Bkk i know Westin, Sheraton and Grand Business Inn have soft beds. Pattaya, Dynasty Inn soi 13 and Sunshine soi 8. Anyone else got any more hotels? Thanks.
  18. Ok here is the deal with the Sheraton....If you call or email the hotel then they will tell you there is a joiner fee but i think this is just to put people off bercause they want to keep the hotel looking as respectable as possible. In reality, they don't charge a joiner fee or at least i have never been charged to bring in a guest. What i do is that i make sure the girls i barfine dress decent like regular girls would, so that means no micro mini skirts, overly revealing outfits or crazy tatoos which are a turn off for me anyway. Also i would never take any loud, drunk bargirl to the Res
  19. Price varies but low season standard room = £58 and Sea View room = £68. For only extra £10 Sea View much better as you can see from the photos.
  20. Stayed here twice at christmas and also during Songkran to escape the water fights. Great hotel with 3 restaurants, 3 pools and girlfriendly. BEDROOM ROOM VIEWS RESTAURANT PRIVATE BEACH VIEWS POOL
  21. Not worth the extra price in low season since its really just 2 standard rooms joined together with just basic furniture in the extra room. During high season if your other alternatives have raised their price or you really like this hotel then i would say suck it up and just pay for the suite this time round just because it is high season.
  22. You can check your flight and personal details are correct by going to site below and just enter your booking ref and surname. Best. http://www.checkmytrip.com
  23. PM to share a taxi. Can wait up to 1hr.
