  1. Hi, This article was titled "what a wacky season" in the paper. Funny article. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/dan-jones-from-evil-kagawa-to-jose-mourinhos-shakespearean-descent-the-best-and-worst-from-the-premier-league-season-9361193.html?origin=internalSearch Should have stood by Jacko, Fulham Tremendous to see that someone has crunched the numbers on Fulham FC’s Curse of The Jacko Statue. Apparently, when the embarrassing, plastic-faced abomination of a thing stood outside Craven Cottage under Mohammed Fayed, Fulham won 33 per cent of their games. Since it has been taken down, they’ve won only 25 per cent and have been relegated. So, just as Jacko continues to release music from the afterlife, so his dead hand reaches up to affect the Premier League. Sevens heaven… but then I went bananas Clapham Junction was buzzing last Saturday, with hundreds of young people dressed as Incredible Hulks, Supergirls, witches, zombies, Wolverines and Ghostbusters. Most were slurping cans of delicious breakfast drink (Stella Cidre, Carlsberg Export) and all were going to the Rugby Sevens at Twickenham. For a second the spring air blew away my innate cynicism, and I rejoiced at sport’s ability to inspire joy, frivolity and drunkenness. Then a Banana in Pyjamas nearly ran in front of my car, and I got back to being angry again.
  2. Hi, I dont go with the idea that it is a hard league to get out of. See how Burnley done it with limited resources. It can lack quality alright.
  3. Hi, Well done to the six who picked Man City.
  4. Hi, They both done well. I had a bet on Everton yesterday as Hull are getting ready for the Big Game.
  5. Hi, Everbody seems very quiet. I have to sell a few ounces of my stash to pay for the collapse of Chelsea. I'm still glad that an attacking team won the thing. Mourinho has destroyed the team that Rafa had last year. I've won money on him in the past but it's like a love affair thats gone wrong. IT'S OVER. Liverpool really threw it away and I feel sorry for Gerrard and their exciting trio SSS. Good competition this year, let's hope it's another good one next year.
  6. Hi, Liverpool threw it away, alright. Gerrard should never be in a position of last man on the field. Where were the centre halves ? Dzeko has really done the stuff for City this year, Kun is injured again and I'm sure his main focus now is the World Cup with Argentina.
  7. Hi, Ta,
  8. Hi, Nidnoyham was a good poster on here so congrats to Brentford for their promotion. My old friends in Amsterdam have won the title for the 4th year in a row. Rumours of de Boer coming to Spurs .
  9. Hi, I regret not going to New Orleans, my type of music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXvoRRMSSGU wacmedia...I fixed this for you so the video shows in the post.. 10. Hi, Have to agree Mourinho is no good at playing entertaing football. If Rafa was still there they would be playing great football with Mata in the team, and they may have won the Premiership by now. . Real Madrid and the Spanish press didn't find him as amusing as the sychophantic British press.
  11. Hi, A draw will do Liverpool to win the Premiership. Sunderland still have a fighting chance of staying up.
  12. Hi, I dont know what happened at Everton when Martinez moved there. I'd imagine he brought some trusted lieutenants with him ? The difference, I'd imagine, is that Everton had people in place to crack on with their excellent signings and loans, Moyes had a new guy in charge at Man Utd, and players who didn't seem prepared to put the effort in as Roy Keane as said. I can see a more or less complete clear out a Man Utd. I'd bet some of my gold bars that no more the 3 players playing now will be on the team this time next year. RVP has a valid excuse, he likes Fergie and came to play for him. Maybe Fergie didn't tell him he was retiring at the end of the season ? In any case Martinez was left a much more stable environment to work in than Fergie left Moyes !
  13. Hi, Apparently if they didn't make the CL the terms meant only one years compo.
  14. Hi, Good post. It looks like Liverpool now after Chelsea defeat. I didn't fancy any horses on Saturday so done a little patent on the football. I want Fulham to stay in the Prem so backed them @5/1 to beat Tottenham(lost) I knew that if Chelsea lost my money was gone so backed Sunderland @10/1(won) The money went over on to Everton @7/5 (won) Everton are the team I usually have a bet on and was very confident they would beat Man Utd.
  15. Hi, Wac sometimes has a beer near Kew Bridge as the Overground makes it easy to get to. Hammersmiths pubs, like the Dove, are my more regular hangout. London is a great city, the best in the World IMO.
  16. Hi, This company has a very good reputation. It's a peer to peer operation. https://www.currencyfair.com/about-us/ http://www.forbes.com/sites/dansimon/2013/10/18/entrepreneur-interviews-brett-meyers-ceo-currencyfair/
  17. Hi, Welsh football is on the up. Pulis and Hughes have done really well this year and Bale looked world class last night as we beat the dreaded catalans.
  18. Hi, At this stage we are all scousers. People will be happy to see Gerrard win the League. And next weekend we will all be shouting for the blue side of Liverpool when they play their game. I stand by my excellent record on this site BTW.
  19. Hi, Well done to Leicester City for making the Premiership again. The big game of the weekend is Liverpool v Man City. I can't see City being beaten so will have a little on them on the AH.(0)
  20. Hi, I apoligise to the board. I just wanted to know wnat Gabor thought of the Hungarian leader. Maybe I should have sent him a PM ?
  21. Hi, Another Leonardo saying. I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but they whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves their conduct, will pursue their principles unto death
  22. Hi, I like the sayings of this man. It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things. 23. Hi, Not good at all Gabor.
  24. Hi, OT, but what do you think of Orban ? Seems very popular and he is hated by the EU so he can't be all bad.
  25. Hi, Yeah, that must be about right.
