  1. Probably find out that a A340 is replacing the 747 on some days. I noticed that the aircraft type for this week is down as "equipment varies" on the schedule, as opposed to the 747-400.
  2. From the BBC ........... Airbus leads Boeing after record 2009 plane deliveries Airbus announcement overshadowed by A400M Airbus has said it has made a record amount of deliveries in 2009, beating US rival Boeing. The planemaker handed over a total of 498 aircraft to customers in 2009, 15 more than in 2008 and ahead of Boeing for the seventh year running. At the end of 2009, the company had a total order backlog of almost 3,500 aircraft. That makes an order book worth $437bn (£700bn) - equal to six years of full production. After adjusting for order cancellations, Airbus sold almost twice as many planes as Boeing in 2009 with net sales of 271 aircraft compared with Boeing's 142.
  3. Hub, Are you sure we wouldn't be better sinking some cash on the Yanks to retain the Ryder Cup?

  5. Both Bo Bae and Pratunam are pretty much garment markets. Try OTOP or the Dept of Export Promotion. Both of them run decent trade fairs. OTOP or Thai Tambon DEP Trade Fairs
  6. It gets kind of disheartening sometimes. Yesterday I was 52, now I am 55 next year.
  7. gaz, You have to call the sim provider to activate MMS on the phone (there is a charge). Once activated, you should be OK.
  8. Andy, I don't think getting an initial Multi-entry B-Type from Penang is as simple as you seem to indicate. Normally, the initial B-Type must come from your home country. The last info I had from Penang was that they would only issue a subsequent B-Type if the application was supported with a WP with a further 9-12 months validity. It might be different this week, and change again next week. The remainder of the advice is good. It may be more convenient to get an extension rather than a multi-entry but it will be a lot more inconvenient if your job and WP go down the pan.
  9. Except that he hasn't got the hang of the quote function yet.
  10. Attention seeking again ........ This thread could run and run ...............
  11. LBJ, The best thing to do is purchase hotel nights with the miles. You get issued with certificates which are then valid for a further year.
  12. Ask Scally. He's good with the predictions lark.
  13. Wasn't your mum a German and dad a Paddy?
  14. LOL. BigD's desperate to get his own thread binned to the silly section.
  15. Absolutely nothing. Is the US going to impose sanctions on the EU because of some industrial subsidies? Well, except that Boeing will get the tanker deal - which is what the WTO action was all about in the first place.
  16. Joe, The Anglia was undoubtedly one of the ugliest cars ever built. Made by Ford, wasn't it? I bet BigD had one for cruising round Cambridge during his student days.
  17. And do it all again on the way back. Sounds great.
  18. No, your posts are what get you banned.
  19. I used them twice from MAN to get the Thai codeshare from Zurich. A couple of years back but I think the price was around 1,300 quid through the big travel agent in Preston.
  20. It takes someone special to thread-fuck his own thread.
  21. They did. Or rather, Swissair did.
  22. I would think that Swiss is still the shortest door-to-door option from MAN.
