  1. We know what you said about the A380. We also know what you said about the 787. You'll get something right one day. There again, maybe not.
  2. You can be sure if BigD shakes his leg, his left foot will always end up stuck firmly in his gob. From Boeing's own mouthpiece .... he reckons it'll take a thousand 787's to reach the BEP. Whose judgement do you go with; Aboulafia's or Denny's? http://www.bizjournals.com/wichita/blog/20...-in-2011--.html
  3. You're not very good at this, are you. I didn't list or post any website - I quoted glynbuk. As for "anonymous" comments on a website - you'll have to do better than that to back up your 22 British servicemen killed claim. Does it not strike you as odd that not one credible news source has come up with any reference to all those British servicemen you claim were killed? BTW, who was the highly decorated Brit you referred to? Or don't you know?
  4. We're talking about your grand claims re the 787's BEP. You've already proved you know nothing about the A380's BEP - there's absolutely no need to confirm it.
  5. The roll-out wasn't delayed by wiring problems. It took place some 20 months prior to the article being written. You're getting there - slowly but surely. Now show us how you calculated the 787's BEP after the delays, compensation payments, cancellations, exchange rate movement etc etc have been thrown into the mix. As I said, you haven't got a clue.
  6. He just cited you two examples of where they are. And it has replaced the 777 with the 380 on several routes, and continues to do so. Simple statement of fact. He was referring to Emirates. The bonus is that we don't have to know anything about anything. Both you and the OP are continually making fools of yourselves without any assistance from anyone else.
  7. Not. Has been ... in the distant past. Funnily enough, the A330 has outsold it by a considerable margin over the last two years.
  8. The re-entry permit number - and make sure you check your passport before leaving the desk to ensure that you have been stamped in correctly.
  9. Vic, Kudos to you, again. At least you have gone to the trouble to take pics of the place to back up your opinion - that it differs from other folks' opinions is really irrelevant. Unlike others, at least anyone reading your review has something to go on when forming their own opinion.
  10. You have no idea whatsoever what the break-even point is for either aircraft.
  11. I was replying to glynbuk, not you. That said, you'll have to come up with a better reference than a cut and paste from wiki-answers .... or scroll down the page a bit.
  12. You conveniently posted the numbers a few days ago, or have you forgotten already? Airbus wide-body sales are around 160 and Boeing's less than 50.
  13. Totally irrelevant. One is a 300 pax aircraft and the other is 500+.
  14. Tracy Cosgrove - quite why they didn't publish her surname is a bit of a mystery - is quite well-known in Glasgow for her work with kids in Thailand and Burma. Kudos to her - and the Benny Moalfi character. I don't really know what to make of the Brit Honorary Consul in Pattaya though. It would surely have been worthwhile for him to publicise the guy's predicament through his media outlets. I'm sure he probably had his reasons not to.
  15. The 747 gained its orders over a 40 year period. The market for passenger planes will change considerably in the next 10 years, no matter 30. Any predictions as to what will happen in the market over that period is no more than wishful thinking.
  16. Its cumulative orders for 2009/2010 is -63.
  17. Why is he comparing the A380 and 787? The competing aircraft are the A380/747 and the A350/787. Or, of course, you could compare the A350 with the 747.
  18. Incorrect. No British units were sent to Vietnam in a combat role. There was the normal mishmash of Int/Sigs/Provo at the Embassy in Saigon in a non-combatant role, but that was it. However, there were several Brits serving with both the AUS and NZ forces in-theatre, including several on exchange programmes between the SF units. There certainly weren't 22 British military killed in Vietnam. Apart from anything else, the British military was pretty stretched in the 60s just dismantling the remnants of the Empire.
  19. And just what exactly is the break even point on the 787 these days? And how can you tell if you don't know how long it's going to be delayed and therefore how much compensation has to be paid to the airlines? According to the WTO, no different from Boeing.
  20. Yep, you explained that the Thai government doesn't want farangs in Thailand and the reason why you came to that conclusion.
  21. Are you now saying it does want farangs in the country and "doesn't" was, in fact, a typo? BTW, there isn't a "border run" policy - border runs are something identified by farangs who wish to circumvent the rules or who have chosen to apply for a multi-entry visa in the first place. If you work, are undertaking education, retired, etc etc, there is no requirement to do a border run at all.
  22. Nothing could be further from the truth. If they didn't want farangs in their country, they'd simply clamp down on the issuing of visas and the granting of extensions of stay.
  23. The A320 NEO has already been announced. Try to keep up.
  24. What's the difference between a hotel-style room and a motel-style room?
